Saw these last night at Wal-Mart for $20 a piece. Maybe I'll get them down the road. Instead, I dropped $20 on the Blu-Ray edition of Pitch Black.

Yea I think they will. Now a days the usually release the individual seasons or volumes then inevitably after that they reason a collectors set. They do it for pretty much every TV show and as far as animated goes they did it for Batman.

I doubt it myself. This is disney and they don't really care about the "Saban" products they own so that makes me think these will be the only way they'll come out. But I hope I'm wrong.

That's how I feel. Disney isn't the best at releasing boxed sets, especially when it comes to Saban products as you pointed out.

I hope we see a "complete collection" for this series, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

That can't be the full Phoenix saga though..Wasn't it longer than 8 episodes?, I remember thinking it would never end when i was a kid

That's how I feel. Disney isn't the best at releasing boxed sets, especially when it comes to Saban products as you pointed out.

I hope we see a "complete collection" for this series, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Who knows. I am gonna wait, I have been waiting this long not a big deal to me. Might just grab em from netflix first.

I'm pretty sure the "Phoenix Saga" was only lasted 5 episodes.

Edit: I just Wiki'd it, and it appears it was only 5 episodes. Although, the "aftermath" carried on for a few more episodes.

Seriously, for what they cost to own......one simply can't go wrong.

I was 24 when they came out in 1992......LOL

I am an old fart in this hobby me thinks BUT I refuse to "grow up" especially since I want to be the coolest dad to my son as he's growing up and hopefully getting into Marvel - DC.

My dad wasn't, had no clue what a Marvel was whatsoever......

I was interested in it to. The series is a blur for me. Some episodes really stand out, while others I forgot. The other day (probably a month ago), I saw an episode from the saga with Apocalypse and the Horseman. I don't even remember seeing those!!!

Buena Vista is releasing volumes 3 and 4 this Tuesday (September 15)
If the sales of these are good too, they will release volume 5 and our X-Men cartoon series will be complete on DVD!

If you don't want to order online, I was looking in Target's ad today and they will have both sets for $15.99 each.
Best Buy has each volume at $19.99, but you get $5 off when buying both. I think I'll stick with Target
