I designed the stage version for my Masters Thesis in 2006. Here is a picture of the 1/4" model. Funny thing is Dante Ferretti the Production designer used the same research as I did.

I was going to write "pretty much the last straw" but Dave's sig shamed me into shortening it.

On another note, does anyone get the feel that this will be like the godfather in terms of diplay? Think we may get a back drop and the display base be like the wood flooring of the barbershop?

I wonder if they will try and include the slanted window with the display? It was so prominent in the design that it would be a shame to leave it out.

They just announced it THIS morning .......why do people have to be so negative about new products being released just because its not the type of stuff they would want? I mean I cant stand Superman but I wouldnt be in the Superman threads crapping on announcements of new figures, I would just keep it moving.

Well you could have crapped on the figure on the day it was announced, but your comment would have been lost in the hundreds of comments posted on that day, unlike this announcement that can barely muster up one hundred comments on day one , which I still hope is some lame joke. We all know supes is taking forever but i think it's unfair that your having a lash at the idea of hot toys making this character just because he may get released before precious superman, if a battle damage t2 was announced tomorrow i doubt i'd see comment like "where's superman" from you then

I don't get this whole superman is taking so long rubbish, the way i see it the longer it takes to come out the better the figure may look, so i just don't like seeing people bash on figure because it's not the superman dx they had been hoping for.

But HT says they'll be making more figures with specially made chairs. And the chair, unless it's a prop replica, looks to be a prototype, but who knows?

To be honest I was playing Devils Advocate and it got a little out of hand, and I went over the top, but I do find it frustrating that Hot Toys make these announcements and then put them on the back-burner for other figures. It's not just Superman, it's Batman and Joker 89, Captain Harlock, Smooth Criminal, Resident Evil Alice, Avatar and Iron Monger. Now some of that stuff I would not touch with a barge poll, but at least if they came out, it would fulfill a promise made to those fans who wanted them, rather than see a new figure come out of the blue and jump in front of them (And I include a Police Shootout Terminator in there). If Sweeney is reveled after a lot of the other promised figures get a least some proto pictures, I won't have a problem with the figure, being made. However the more new figures keep appearing instead of the others I have listed, the more likelihood is that some of those early announcements are not going to happen.

Anyway I will leave this thread in peace. I am just glad we are still friends

But don't hot toys always eventually follow trough on figures they "have" announced,avatar is different as only the license was announced and no one particular figure unlike 89 bats and supes that we at least know one is a dx and the other an mms ..sure we never got Rorschach but there was never an official announcement of him just the watchmen license...i mean this is hot toys we are talking about here, not enterbay, when they say there making a figure i'm certain we will get it.
