I've never seen you that bad. :lol That was really one of the darker moments here. Reading that thread made me ashamed to be a member here.

Ive been around when some threads got closed, but i was restrained :lol Ive had some posts deleted but never got a warning thankfully. Most stuff is just peeps being saucy but when it gets out of hand i stay well clear.

And I'm all for naming this potential new sticky "Uncle Chewies Chop Shop: Post all SW related Custom figures and Dios here".

Darthgothikus made an honest attempt to try and self-solve the so-called issue. I think the title is clever and should stay.

That's great, but I had no idea what that thread was about so I never visited it. If it had been Star Wars Customs, I probably would have checked it out.

There seems to be some confusion - we're not talking about moving the SW customs to the general customs forum. We're talking about creating a SW Customs sub-forum. The debate is whether that subforum is under the Star Wars banner or under the Customs banner.

SW Custom sub-forum under the Star Wars banner. :lecture

SW Custom sub-forum under the Star Wars banner. :lecture

Thirded! I like to keep my Star Wars together in one convenient place, and I like it better under the Star Wars forum than just shoehorned under the customs forum :D

I don't know....I don't see any real reason for the division. if it's related to Star Wars...it goes in the Star Wars section...why is a "sub-section" needed?

The Thread title should be enough to let one know what's in it....just throw the word "custom" in the title (like we do "images" or "pictures") and isn't that enough?

As Dave mentioned, the board is constantly growing and changing...and for me, I enjoy going and...in one place (section), checking out the variety of conversations going on...be it a new figure that's dashing expectations (or occasionally exceeding them :)) or display ideas or...the great customs folks are doing.

How far would this subdividing have to go? After all...as everyone knows, no conversation in here stays completely on topic all of the time...

I think it's fine the way it is....no need to make it more complicated than it needs to be.

Just sayin'...

:lecture:lecture:lecture:lecture This is what I'm saying. It's nice to have some positive threads with kickass customs in the Star Wars thread, a place were freaks are mostly positive vs, "Sideshow sucks ass. The Sandtrooper should have 7 teeth, not five, MY CHILDHOOD'S RUINED!" That stuff gets old fast and I have yet to see it rear it's pimply head in the custom threads. Please leave them be. The custom threads aren't really a problem and aren't taking over the overall SW discussions here, so if someone has a problem, they can just not click on the thread.

Think all the SW customs are being posted here because the "custom section" is all "interest head" polls, "where's my product" threads, "I bit off more than I can chew" threads and "real life" threads...so all of the actual "custom" figures have been posted in their respective sections. Just leave it all the way it is and change the name of the "customs" section to something else like "head repaint section" or "where's my sh^t" section or "life problems" sectoin or just get rid of it alltogether.

Came back this morning to find all the custom threads gone into their own subforum. Last time I checked there were more "leave it alone" posts than not. It's a shame nobody listens to the actual members around here. :(

Really? I got the impression most people were saying separate them.

Anyhow, they are still easily accessible and you haven't got to wade through the mess that is the custom section!

I've been flicking between the two today (SW & SW Custom) and I like how it works.

I like the new division. :clap

Customs and products seem like a natural enough divide.

The only issue some may foresee is when someone has a heavily customized SS SW fig -- does it go in the primary section or in the custom section? I imagine it will start in the corresponding figure thread. If someone chooses to showcase their work in a single thread, then that would be a custom and I would guess it would get moved to the customs area. Seems straight forward enough to me.
