Freaks Fantasy Baseball 2009

Did my draft this past weekend; landed Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder in firts two rounds. Really got a steal with C.Beltran in the 20th round (24 rounds), especially if he can come back healthy.

My staff is sick; last year, I found a gem in Greinke in the 13th round - this year, Peavy slipped to 13 and I got him. He should be primed for a big year, and with King Felix, Jon Lester (my boy, have had him for 3 straight years and is really my boy, my father is a doctor that knows him well, everytime we hang out in Mass, we see him and friends from Southie) and Kazmir, my rotation is set. Oh, and I added Bucholz late also.

Late gems also; C.Maybin and Austin Jackson.

Got N.Cruz, Ibanez, Jeter, F.Guitterez, M.Ordonez as other notables with two solid relief guys in Broxton and K-ROD to get me saves.

No problem, always fun, very excited that the season's about to start. Spring training is nice to get back into it, but more fun when the games really matter.

There's always something. I had A-Rod auto drafted on my team in 2005 and he started the year terrible so I benched him one day, then he has his 10 RBI game and I could have clinched the season with that one day, I was pissed

i am so stoked for baseball to start. I might call in sick tomorrow to watch the Rockies game .

Tonight should be a fun game and I'm not even a big fan of either the Yanks or Sox.

I was glad to have Pujols on Monday, i know that much, and the way some guys have started, I'm glad I didn't stack my roster with Sox guys like I often do.

There are 2 of us doing it because of the way loki is playing. He's playing like a _____ and acting like a ____ about it. He's F'ing up the waiver wire and forcing anyone who plays him to do adds and drops every single day if you want to compete with him. I don't have the time and don't want to put THAT much effort into a free, 8 team league.

I prefer Rotoworld because you have to set rosters and think alittle more about it.

So you're losing on purpose against Loki or everyone? And why didn't you say something about it here so that we could have started a new league without him?

You don't have to manage your team that much, just start your best players. But purposefully benching every player to let Loki win seems to just give him bragging rights.

so i just read the posts on yahoo. i see everyone's point about not wanting to have to keep a daily check on the league because 1 person is adding and dropping starters to maximize their Ks or Wins. I'll support a change to the max transactions if everyone else does. Screw Loki's complaint of changing after the fact. I'd rather have others playing than Loki anyway.

Or we are only 1 week in...we can redo the draft and uninvite him?
