Im waiting for the day that InArt hatches the idea to do Star-wars, you know what we need more of? Star-wars figures:rolleyes:

Honestly, if InArt throws in the towel with the fellowship...

Partner with Asmus.

Do the remaining sculpts for them, let them handle the rest. But the deal is that Asmus can't ******* touch them. Because for some reason Asmus has this ability to take impressive renders, chose to "redo them" and strip the final, released product's likeness.

Asmus partnered with Pop for Bilbo's clothes previously, they're open to it.

I can live with no Merry & Pippin and no Boromir, even though that's a missed opportunity. I knew secondary characters like Arwen, Elrond, etc. were always longshots. But I really need Gimli to feel complete. Three Hunters on one shelf, Gandalf and Frodo/Sam on another. Aragorn and Legolas by themselves feels wrong.

Honestly - thats a really ******* good idea.
Asmus have always been pretty decent in terms of props and tailoring, so if they handle that + bases and other accoutrement and leave the sculpts and rooting for Inart then that could work out really well.

Yeah, the OP feels strongly about LoTR and was very disappointed when InArt said they have no plans for other members of the Fellowship. Does that mean they'll never make them, or are they simply on the backburner for now? Only time will tell but speaking from experience, when people say these things it's never a good sign.

The harsh truth is, the 1/6 market is strongly dominated by super heroes, especially in China. InArt has licensor fees to pay on top of their production costs, their office space, their workers, etc. If what I heard about them and the reason why MorFig exists in the first place is true, they are likely assessing what will make them the most profit at this moment, and it is not Gimli or Pippin.
Really curious since I haven't heard anything, what have you heard about InArt and MorFig?

I doubt Asmus can just suddenly deliver InArt quality.

If it was that easy, more companies would be doing it.

Asmus' attempt at high-end (Crown) didn't go so well by comparison.

Personally, I'd like to see more Orks and things from Asmus. Oh, and Wormtongue... characters no one will be doing.

Remember, JND is still plotting their LOTR, right?
And it's a damn shame the Crown line went so-so, I have their Crown GtW, and aside from being a bit too tan, his sculpt is genuinely amazing.

I think they ought to complete the Fellowship, and although, I have no interest in owning Gimli (or Aragorn), I know that’s such a wild missed opportunity to complete the Three Hunters.

If y’all don’t realize that superheroes are huge in China, especially the Nolan TDK Trilogy, Idk what to tell you. I’ve always heard it’s the biggest and most beloved thing in China.

I also don’t understand why some of you guys are acting like this is new news? We always knew they were looking to make TDK Batman and TDKR Selina Kyle. The only “surprise” is TDK Joker 2.0. But when you really think about it, it makes sense especially given what they feel about their 1.0.
Yes but even still is the market to bloated? Dumb question tho since it feels like no matter how many there are people will def buy the next version that comes out.

I’m just glad we are getting Frodo honestly. I can do without the others. 800 is to much for a figure I’m sorry

LOTR fans that don’t care for Frodo and Sam don’t really make sense to me lol
I find his story the most compelling in the series. I love underdog stories. Also the fight to not be corrupted by evil and journey to literal hell and climb a huge volcano makes him probably one of the strongest characters in the series.

Personally, I don’t think so. We haven’t had INART’s take on these beloved and popular characters yet. IMO, I don’t think it matters if Hot Toys has already made them already before. But that’s just me!

im not sure that Inart Sam and Frodo is still on my list now, because JND will release the four hobbits and asmus will also release the hobbits 2.0. In that case, there will be two sets of hobbits. I don't need too many hobbits
