Re: Freaktacular 2016

I sat through that dreadful video so I think those who did also deserve the points haha

I wasn't able to watch it, as I just got in to work and logged in and someone posted the code that very moment, so I rushed over and it had already expired. It's all free and nice of them to do it anyway, so I'll never really complain about not getting a code, but I do think that 5 minutes is the sweet spot for random codes. Most aren't sitting around waiting for codes all day, so even with a five minute window most will miss them anyway. The five minutes just gives those watching actual time to swap over to their login page, login, type the code, and hope it works, and also makes up for whatever delay there may be. Two minutes is an incredibly fast opening.

Re: Freaktacular 2016

I'm more complaining that I spent the time watching the video to get access to the code. It's probably not time well spent but it's fun to get RP. I probably won't watch the videos anymore and just try to get one when posted.

Oh yeah, I wasn't saying you were complaining at all. I was agreeing that a bit more time should be given, because even if you're watching the video, two minutes is an pretty quick time to have to put in a code if there's video delay -- especially if you're watching on a device and not a computer.

It's not the device that's the problem, it's the lag in the streaming the further east you go

There's also a different lags between Facebook and Youtube.
And a higher latency if you are watching from the east coast, or even worse, Europe.

The lag for sure would do it, but I just meant that sometimes during SDCC I was on my phone, so you'd have to close that, pull up the web browser, type in the code, etc...on a computer you're just clicking another tab. Even without lag two minutes would be harsh on a phone. But yeah, that's good. hopefully they'll at least bump them up a little bit in the future.

Damn, that's another one I missed.

That pretty much seems to be the consensus across the board here. This pretty much sums most of us up with the code:

Yours was clearly a much more dangerous close call. I love how the woman runs all the way back in. Just insane! :lol

Reminded me of this one...there are longer ones somewhere, but the glass panel fell from a building, hits the guy, and he gets up, brushes himself off, picks up his stuff and just walks off. It's just nuts. A few inches over and it would've sliced him in half. Still surprised it didn't do damage.

Re: Freaktacular 2016

So a big LATE late thanks to CallMeTheDoctor for my secret Santa gift! Was finally able to sort out who had me and what was given after everything that happened earlier in the year. Amazing gifts that I LOVE! The Rogue One art book is amazing, and you can't beat Star Wars LEGO...especially with Chirrut involved! Above and beyond, so thank you once again Carlos for the very thoughtful gifts!
