So I saw in the new forum rules and regulations that it says we are not allowed to hold contests on the boards... That kind of puts a damper on Freaktacular in the future.

Well, that puts a damper on things. I wonder if an exception can be made. I all ready have a few things set aside to give away.

I tried to post in the code of conduct thread but it wouldn't let me for some reason. I'm going to PM Dave and see if it's just linking to contests, surveys, etc. that are on websites outside the forum. There's a GI Joe contest that got the go ahead for some reason so I don't know why they would get to do one and we wouldn't for Spook.

That's the way I read it but I want to get it clarified with Dave. I can understand not wanting to link to spam contests and surveys but don't see why contests within the forum would get banned. As far as I know, there haven't been any issues with member-held contests here. I sent Dave a PM so hopefully he'll get back to me. I've got a ton of stuff to give away for Spook so it'd be a shame to no longer be able to do contests here.

I spoke with Dave on it and he stated that it's meant for all off site illegitimate contests.

So Spook/Freaktacular is still on, folks!
