So I was thinking of some contests and prizes that i could do this year, and remembered that last year I did a contest that involved the number of LEGO bricks in my collection. I've since sold almost all of those LEGOs to fund another project that I had this summer. That led me to think about all the other things I sold in the past year, and what I picked up with those funds. Just like every other year, my collection and collecting habits changed.
So that got me thinking; has anybody else had changes in their collection this past year. Surely things have been added, but have you noticed any other big changes in your collecting?
I'll go first: I liquidated almost all of my Legos and one of my full costumes, and used most of that to fund a 1:350 Enterprise build from Star Trek. I also picked up a few figures/statues, but the big shift was towards making the Enterprise the centerpiece of my collection.
Of course you don't have to participate, and I know that we all address this in produce specific threads throughout the board, but I thought it'd be fun to see how each of our collections are going all in one place.

I slowed down buying 1/6 figures and started collecting more statues. I also added my first full figure piece when I got Chronicle's 1:1 Endoskeleton.

my habbits have definitely changed, I stopped buying hot toys and started focusing on statues (not PF's or anything like that I'm a broke DJ. , kotobukiya, DCcollectibles, etc.) I've also gotten back into smaller action figures, and I haven't collected those in like 10+ years, but I've picked up most of the TFA black series figures, except for troopers as I'm not an army builder. some mini funkos and started on the BTAS figure line which is pretty nostalgic and spectacular.
now that Suicide Squad has blasted my expectations I'm picking up the HT game again.

yeah I've only picked up joker and bats. but two face is next!
my next HT is gonna be knightmare bats, regardless of how I felt abut BvS that figure is just too awesome to not pick up.

I definitely go through phases too! I was away from 1:6 for a little while, and now I'm picking a few up here and there again.
I haven't seen Suicide Squad yet, but most certainly want to. I just haven't had the time in the past few weeks. You really liked it? Based on what I've heard about it, I really think I'll like it.

I really loved it man, best DCEU flick yet. best DC comic book movie since TDK in my oppinion. the critics are pretty even with hating it but fans seem to either somewhat enjoy it or love it.
just go in knowing it ain't no philosophical movie like Nolan bats, it's a really fun ride.

Good to know. I try not to go in with any expectations, so I think I'll just enjoy the ride.
I know lots of people hated BvS, but I didn't mind it. It had LOTS of flaws, but again I just sat back and enjoyed the ride. And after watching most of the extended edition, I feel like it's a more even movie now.

I love it, but it's HUGE. I can't imagine trying to find a spot for the Batwing when it comes out. I'll more than likely have to pass on it.
That Batmobile has tempted me much more than once

That's where I'd have to draw the line. Just don't have a place to display something that big. Its like last year when I picked up the Black Series TIE Fighter from TFA. I was so stoked to get it home, but the second I opened it I realized there was no way I had the real estate for it. So I can say I was the proud owner of a 1:12 TIE fighter for like 30 minutes.
That's where I'd have to draw the line. Just don't have a place to display something that big. Its like last year when I picked up the Black Series TIE Fighter from TFA. that's the best way to go in, I liked BvS and really like the UC. but it's just not one of those movies you can just throw in and enjoy all the way through. SS is.
will the batmobile fit an a detolf? buddy of mine says his Hastings has one for 20% off.

No, not even diagonally--though all the action figure stuff at Hastings should be 30% off now if that twists your arm. They may not have changed all the tags yet but that's what it was yesterday.
