Hi,
Hope all is well and i know im new but, i just wanted to add 391/400 to the cool collection of pics to this thread. Very cool figure i must say. The light up base is top notch.

I also attached a couple pics of a gap issue i have between his left boot to the base. Has anyone else noticed this on their Freddy or is this thing sorta normal for these types of figures? This is my first Sideshow Collectibles statue so i didnt know what to expect.

take care.
-Brad

Hey Brad! Welcome to the forum. Thanks for the pics. In my short PF collecting experience I would have to say no, that gap should not be there. It looks like his other foot is fully seated, so I'm not sure why that gap would be there other than the sculpt itself is off. You might be able to bend the foot peg that goes into the base, but I'd check with SS about a replacement first. I'm sure other members will chime in here as well.

While I have other Sideshow pieces, this was actually my first direct from Sideshow PF. :hi5:

It's unacceptable to be honest, but you can easily fix this with a needle file set to widen out the peg hole, or take off a couple of mm on the foot peg with a dremel. If it didn't have a light up feature in the base I'd suggest drilling it out a little.

I wouldn't mess with it unless you really know what you're doing. Ask Sideshow for a replacement body. You paid $350 for this so it shouldn't be flawed. They'll have you destroy the original one after you receive the replacement. Good luck!

Thank you all for the welcome. I did email Sideshow those exact pics and this was their reply;
"We have compared your item to our display item on our shelf and confirm there is a small variation of a gap between the foot and the base. You may try to file your peg down to solve this issue, however we can confirm this is a normality to this piece."

So i MIGHT file down a little bit off the right side of the brown part of the foot peg (if your looking at it with the front of the boots facing you) so that maybe he leans more to his left so that he will stand directly on it, i dont know yet.

Thank you all for your help.

Sooo no one has taken me up on my offer... So i caved in and opened him up. Bad choice. Hes F'n awesome! Paint apps are amazing and everything seems so spot on. Im in love with this piece. Overall a pretty good first PF piece.
