I still think members with gift cards should make an announcement and have Freaks PM them to claim. Otherwise, fly-by-night lurkers will just simply claim them without us knowing.

I mentioned this a long time ago but it needs to be said every page, clearly.

Certainly there's guys out there who are not members and who cruise in here regularly to snatch posted GC codes.

This is true. Most of these types of areas of the forum do require a membership and do have rules for authorization.

I think the issue is that when someone is too slow to get an awesome $50 GC, they automatically blame is on the magical midnight lurkers.

That's true. I gratefully used a couple of GCs, none of them were big, but they were free, so that was more than I started with. I've missed some of the big ones, but I don't blame anyone, others got to them first.

It would be just better all around to use PM for the codes. That way you aren't wasting your time on a code that has already been used.
