Well, I'm assuming that this will be about $325 and there will be a $35 deposit on it....with I'm okay with it. This is a very, highly expected Premium Format and might just sell out in a few minutes, even with deposit....

Can we also expect to see another Evil Dead Ash PF soon???? :yess:

But this time have Trevor doing the likeness?

Jason Voorhees has become the next Medieval Kurgan on these boards, and from many who don't strike me as Friday the 13th fanboys. Why? What's so appealing about having him in Premium Format?

The character BREATHS mxied media. Look at the Terror From Crystal Lake. The idea was cool but the all sculpt just looks freaking awful. He looks so much more badass in actual tailored clothes. Just perfect!

Oh I absolutely get the appeal of the medium, just not the diehard worship of the character itself. Why are people on these boards who don't live and breath F13 films more excited for the Jason PF than the T1 Terminator? He's a more iconic and fearsome 80's killing machine from a much better movie.

Most of us in here live and breath F13 films. And as Shai stated, for many of us, there character was the genesis of our collections.

I think I'm gonna pop in the Star Wars section and ask them what's so great about Star Wars... Trek is much better. :monkey3

That I am not sure. For me, I am a bigger horror fan than I am a Sci-fi/horror fan. Yea the first movie was more horror but at this point I consider the franchise pretty much all Sci-fi and I am a bigger Jason nut than I am a Terminator nut. I will still be getting a T1 PF but I am much more interested in Jason Part 3 myself.

Are you not able to answer the question? I'm genuinely curious.

Honestly? He's Jason ____ing Voorhees. When you think of modern horror (the era of people 35-40 and younger that can relate) you instantly think of Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees. Worldwide he's recognized ............ he and Michael were the pioneers in what has changed to the known "horror movie"

I'm a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE T1 and T2 fan and I can tell you that Jason Voorhees is just as popular as the Terminator/Schwarzenegger.

Dude Im a die hard Jason voorhees fan and as a kid as morbid as it may sound, this character shaped my childhood. I had all the vhs tapes and I swear every halloween i was Jason with those crappy masks you buy from the store. I remember in elementary school I would draw pictures of Jason. As someone else mentioned I grew up watching horror, while I love sci-fi im a much bigger fan of the horror genre.

I'll be honest and use your example of the T1 Terminator...while I do love that character, Jason to me was such a much more menacing character. I mean yeah you have some killer robot from the future trying to end the human race...but still in my mind nothing beats a backwoods mutant killer. Again this Jason is my grail and as someone else mentioned even since I bought the first Jason figure from Mcfarlanes Movie Maniacs my collecting habits changed ever since. Jason is my hero and well i love that character :monkey2

Certainly was the case for me. Sideshow's Freddy and Jason figures were what innitially had me switching from model kit builder to figure collector/customizer. And as a huge Jason fan, this figure best represents to me the last time I see Jason as an actual living killer and marks the moment he officialy became an unstoppable, unkillable killing machine. Premium Format is just the greatest way to pay homage to him.

I suspect part of the hype over Jason over T1 is the fact that everybody knew the sculpt for Jason's been finished and Spooktacular was coming up. With T1, we've only seen a design sketch so far, so it doesn't seem close enough to generate quite the same craze yet. Give it time.

Man, I'd love to paint the T1, too. I know who's sculpting it, so I know it's going to be awesome!

Jason >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> T1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>T2

Jason Voorhees is THE most iconic movie figure in recent memory, if not ever. I swear you could take some 3rd world bush kid and show him the hockey mask and he'd say "Jason", but you show him a picture of T1 and if he did say anything it'd be "Arnold". Jason Voorhees made it fun to be scared watching movies for me as a kid.

Trolling reported! :wave

If you don't get it, GTFO! :lol Jason III is the most iconic of the Jasons (the character himself is arguably the most iconic of modern day Horror icons). It's also the first time he donned the hockymask in a movie. And your "more iconic" is entirely subjective. I couldn't tell you what the lackadaisical 13th fans are saying because I'm not one of them. You'll have to go and PM your butt buddies in the T1 thread who're critiquing mole placement on HT's T1 ass.

I will not justify, defend, nor explain my Jason fandom to anyone.

You either get it or you don't. Period.
