I like displaying them with the GG Busts...The GG Helms can also be displayed on the base nicely too....Sam's GG helm fit well...Frodo cannot put the GG helm on due to his hand being in the way....It goes well with the Weta Gollum/Smeagol as well and the Mt. Doom Sam/Frodo/Gollum Dios...Sideshow did very well with this piece...very well!

#187 arrived today. Gotta say, this one has been last on my list in terms of expectations and unfortunately it came through there. It's just not doing all that much for me. The choice of attire is what I was never excited about, and now that I have it in hand it has only confirmed my feelings. The want to have the full fellowship is what drove me to make this purchase. Maybe once (and if, I suppose) I have Merry and Pippin to display next to them I'll feel better... I also think this one was way overpriced. I know there are two characters, but it is still significantly smaller compared to others in this price range. Sorry guys, don't mean to be a downer! I will say the head sculpts are spot-on!

This one is not overpriced because you have 2 statues even if they are smaller the detail required is still the same, not to mention 4 heads which are all very well done and painted. Price wise i think this one is fine.

My statue arrived. Unfortunately frodo's helmet portait was broken. Can someone tell me where their frodo helmet portrait was in the box? Mine was under frodo's body. While the other three heads were under the base....the piece that broke off was imbedded into the styrofoam...otherwise great statue.

You are not alone the packaging is an absolute disaster, the 4 heads suppose to go UNDER the base, yes they are using the hard polystone base as an anchor for the 4 heads. The box itself doesnt even have sideshow logo on it and no way to tell which way it opens it. If you open up the wrong way, expect everything to fall out... I had to open a tiny crack shine a flashlight in it to determine the correct side, then open it up. Even though frodo was in pieces and 2 of the 4 heads were displaced ( i think one of the head probably smashed into the frodo body over and over during transit and broke it off).

Either way this packaging is an epic fail.

Do you have any pictures of the way it should be packaged? I think mine was inspected before shipping but they put the helmet back the wrong spot. Yes you are right. No label to show which way is up or down on the box. ... Strsnge I got no exclusive sticker too.
Did anybody have an exclusive sticker on the box?

Sorry gags just because a couple show up broke doesn't mean the packaging was an epic fail. Sounds like you just had bad luck to be honest and that sucks. My heads were all wrapped in a styrofoam like material and secured in holes in the box and one was placed under the Sam's body.

You're welcome and as the others have said, the box is quite smaller than the others.

Sorry to hear about your statue. My Frodo alternate head was underneath his body. Sam's extra head was under the base. I hate to complain but I was disappointed that the Sideshow logo was not on the box. I opened mine and it was upside down although everything was ok. I think someone mentioned this before too but there are no pads under the base like the other statues. I'm worried about it getting scratched up underneath. It seems like the nice little details were left out of this one. Hope this isn't a continuing thing on SS's part.

Yeah, it's the logo on the foam I was referring too. And the pads on the base is what I meant by details. I don't expect to be moving this statue around so I'm sure the base will be ok I just hope SS isn't going to remove the pads from bases from now on. I thought it was a nice touch.

Got ya. It did confuse me for a second as well. I'm so used to that being my key to which side is which. I didn't even notice the pads not being on it to be honest.
