For the record, I have no problem with gay people, I call a couple of them friends. I just would like these "politics" to not be so upfront in children's movies.

Pixar.

I guess there isn't much left to distinguish between the two now, but I meant princess features specifically. The Tink movies are serials, home releases, and very good.

I really prefer the last few Disney Animation movies to the last few Pixar movies I've seen. Pixar has been turning me off since I watched the Toy Story characters getting ready to meet baby Jesus in the garbage dump. I havent even seen Inside Out or The Good Dinosaur.

I enjoyed Inside Out more than I expected. Haven't bothered seeing The Good Dinosaur, my canaries said it was kinda generic.

Monsters University was their last sequel wasn't it? It was unnecessary. So were both the Cars movies. But when they hit the mark they are peerless.

Pixar is hit-or-miss nowadays. Inside Out was good, but no better than the recent, straight up Disney CG films like Wreck It Ralph, Frozen, or Tangled in my opinion. But the best Pixar (Toy Story and Toy Story 2, Incredibles, Up) are better than the best straight Disney stuff IMO.

TGD was decent. Nothing spectacular. Big Hero 6 was a really great recent Disney/Marvel release. Inside Out can be a tad too depressing imo.

Although honestly, the Peanuts Movie has to be my favorite animation film in years. I always get a kick watching it. :lol

Peanuts was great. One thing about Pixar in general, and Inside Out specifically that I think is really good is their ability to capture honest human emotional situations. Up was probably the best at that. The non-Pixar Disney stuff seems to hold itself back on that front, which is probably better for small kids, but less fulfilling for adults.

I have hated Frozen...day one! EOM

I can understand that, given the unrelenting attention it gets (or got), which is a shame, because it really is quite good.

Love Inside Out, like Big Hero 6, The Good Dinosaur is okay.

Funny, I blind bought Peanuts for my Daughter. While watching it with her, I found it pretty boring, Then at the end, out of nowhere, I started getting choked up! I didn't see it coming, as I guess the movie is just so Slight that it snuck up on me.

If it wasn't for Lasseter's determination to crank out Cars movies, Pixars track record would be Outstanding, even with movies like TGD and Brave.

Cars was one that left me on the island I have to say. So needless to say I skipped the other(s?)

I've also never seen Frozen. I'm only in here for the big gay debate.

Last animated Disney and/or Pixar movie I saw was Toy Story 3.

Unless we count, a Marvel movie or The Force Awakens, which are animated movies/direct to home video movies in their own right . . . :monkey3

Inside out was amazing, but seeing it a few times, it has slowly depressed me. But perfect capture of emotion like Kara said. That Bing Bong part gets me every single time! :(

Big Hero 6 also hit hard with the brother. TGD didn't seem all that emotional except for that part with Spot at the end. Arno wasnt bad either, but it just didn't sell me.

Peanuts got me since the first part. Always found some similarities between me and Chuck ol' boy. :lol

The ending also gets me haha. Not sure why but it sneaks up on me too!

Yeah, if anyone here hasn't actually seen Frozen, and is just commenting on the surrounding controversy, I would highly recommend watching it. . .once :lol Probably the best non-Pixar Disney animated theatrical showing since the Lion King. Not that that's saying too much. I have a soft spot for Lilo and Stitch personally, but objectively, it's not exactly great. It does have Ving Rhames, essentially as a reformed version of his character from Pulp Fiction, which is hilarious. And Kevin McDonald FTW.

Personally, I've been really impressed with much of Disney's movies since they revitalized themselves in the early 90's. I think many of their films like Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback, Aladdin, Frozen and Wreck-it Ralph stand up pretty strongly in comparison to much of what Hollywood puts out. Sometimes I think animation gets a bad rap, simply because people associate it with kiddie fare. It is kiddie fare, but it's also very palatable to adults as well. Then there are people that just don't like musicals, which I can understand, I guess it takes some people out of the films, but I enjoy them.

I separate Pixar and Disney, even though they are under the same tent, but at least until Brave, Pixar movies just seemed like very different animals than Disney movies. Movies like Wreck-it Ralph and Big Hero 6 have further blurred the distinction, probably because Lasseter oversees both sides.

I try to forget that movies like Atlantis and Meet The Robinsons exist, they just look atrocious, though I've never seen them.

I couldn't stand it & I like what animated stuff Disney puts out

I hated frozen, i found it too cliche. And boring. Also found the two girls annoying and some of the motives were pretty dumb.

I didnt see what was so special about it. The only thing i liked was the little snow dude. Really dont get the hype
