Turtle,

is it still fun owning this piece...if yes, keep it.

or if it's no longer fun, send it back for a full-refund.

Owing a piece like this should be fun, if you're not enjoying it get your $$$ back.

You can't touch-up chrome.
So there isn't anything they could actually do to fill this hole!

But think about it, it is a Terminator :D They aren't meant to look perfectly clean :p

Only problem I see is, if it's a bad chrome job, trough time, it can chip, and the damage will grow, chrome might even start peeling.

yea..it really can't be fixed..
but honestly- I like the few dings here and there...
it is Terminator :D
Even if they come from the factory..I doubt it would be 100% perfect, hehe.

I will say one thing in your defense bro... Not many of us have dropped 6K on a single collectible so I understand how you are going over the piece with a finetooth comb and discovering things that may not perfect with the statue and it's bothering you. Its understandable. That being said... The impact mark center of the starburst is very accurate looking and acceptable in my opinion and I actually like it. As for the crack in the back of the base you never answered if its in the paint or deep into the polystone. You could probably squirt some super glue into the crack and stop it from ever spreading. Just a thought. AWESOME GRAIL PIECE to say the lease. Wish I had one:D Mike

Sorry, I thought I answered the question. But it was on the other forum. The crack is actually beyond the paint. In fact, othe surface of the crack on one side of it is slightly lifted higher than the other side.

Thanks Felmar for the pictures.

BTW, for those that think the crack is on the back of the base, it is actually located on the righ side of the base, right below the switch for turning the lights on.

That ding looks to be on every BD Endo and the crack in the base is being repaired in about 10 minutes (any pro builder can do that easily).

Yeah, but the point is....after you pay $6000+ you SHOULDN'T have to fix anything. Simple as that!

Its true no piece is perfect.

well mine has the same thing-
leg3.jpg

I guess its even more apparent after cleaning it..
but it really doesn't bug me at all.

Oh man, I'd have to shoot myself, I couldn't take it being MORE APPARENT after cleaning it. :pow

Turtle, I am with two members up above.

Only thing I can add is that if the "damage" to the hip is not really damage and it is indeed a paint app, then it won't peel, ok to keep in that regard.

But if it is not a paint app, and in fact chroming that is not properly applied, then you will have an issue down the road.

I am not crazy about your base issue either. That would bother me on a piece ... any piece.

Hi mate,

The battle damage gouge is on all the combat versions.... Plus the combat one is not nearly as shiny or detailed as the chrome one.

I have had problems with him but mine are very major face bubbles and flaking off chrome...... then they forgot to drill the locking pin holes for the arms on my replacement one.

see my thread.

I also had a big crack in the base. BIG. I filled it and painted it. No real problem.

He is a cool piece. But after all the stress I am done collecting.
