Well if true, thats a waay better casting. Mamoa would be perfect as Lobo. Was definitely miscast as Aquaman, um Aquadude.

But...I still don't care.

I have no faith Gunn's DCEU will be any better. Different, yes. But based on his style, we're gonna go from too dark and gritty to too much camp and humor.

I don't want an entire universe of movies with character portrayals like GOTG, TSS or Peacemaker.

I still have a soft spot for the original Swamp Thing movie. I watched that thing way too many times when I was a kid.

What a ******* waste of time.... At least I guess he's trying something different, but none of this is for me.

Only thing I have any curiosity about is how he actually handles Superman and his casting choice, which quite frankly I don't think is gonna be a good choice.

And as far as TV, maybe curious about seeing Booster Gold and again what he does with Lanterns.

The rest I could care less about.

Sound like they are trying to just copy/emulate successful shows/movies into DC adaptions. Comparing the Amazons to Game Of Thrones... give me a break...

The Authority sounds like it wants the mature The Boys crowd...

I'm happy for those that are excited about this.....but for me personally I have lost all interest in DC film since the whole synderverse fiasco.

That along with the superhero burnout/fatigue....there have been so many superhero movies that's hard to keep up with it all.

MCU phase 1-3 was the sweet spot....there wasn't an over-saturation of comic films....and they were the first to truly build a connected universe across many different films in the superhero genre. But every franchise now wants to become that and it just is old hat. I am watching MCU phase 4+, but I don't rush to the theater anymore, I just want til it's on streaming, the same excitement isn't there. The formula becomes a lot to invest in with an ever ending number of new characters.

So anyways, with DC now launching their DCU for the next 8-10 years, I really have no interest in any of the films they announced. Another Batman.....Superman reboot again, no interest or connection to the other announced films/characters.....etc. So I won't really be paying attention much to what the DCU does.

If as he claimed he was taking inspiration from the justice league cartoon what are we building towards were is brainiac and the new gods and dark side. Let go full on invasion and thanagar and rann war.

Green lantern a tv show what a waste you can adapt the whole rebirth or even origin plus the man hunters .

Come on Damian is the worst robin I love **** grayson and would love to see a batman death in the family with jason and red hood the video games suck at his story

Yep. That’s part of the problem too, I think superhero “fatigue” is real. If they announced this line up ten years ago things would be different.

I am not sure its supero fatigue I think its because , and I can't belive I am saying this, it's the lack of a build up movie like the avengers.

I used to be so against the interconnectedness of the marvel universe since it made everything predictable since you know that they will survive since the will be facing the big bad in the next team up movie.

But after watching all these origin and stand alone movies . I felt something was missing and it wasn't because the movie were lacking but as soon as I saw antman 3 trailer I knew what it was it was missing the bigbad and the build up to face him.

Kang is looking awesome and formidable and a true threat and antman 3 is like the prequel for the kang war movie. That trailer had me more pumped then I have been in a long time . The make him so sinister and diabolical a true threat the way we talks real evil. It's so delicious.

After watching infinity war you cant really go back to watching a stand alone movie or tv show . You either need to be building towards the next one or give us the next big bad.

You climbed the top you need to keep moving forward and frankly stand alone movie with no connection to a larger threat are not building anything so they are fun to watch but you soon forget

Anyway, I’m not excited but I’m not upset. It’s all in the execution. Booster Gold could be a hoot. Lanterns could redeem the character on the silver screen.

Ultimately though, I just can’t drum up the enthusiasm, and I’m 100% behind a clean slate approach.

If they lean into the horror with Swamp Thing I'm super interested.

I loved Weird War back in the day and Creature Commandos was a big reason why curious on how they handle them.

Since Waller has Team Peacemaker in it, I'll be watching that I enjoyed Peacemaker.

I liked early Booster Gold back in his first series and his time in JLI, with Gunn's humor I think this might be fun to watch.
