Super Freak
Since I never did a proper FX report, I thought I would share that with you guys. Here are a mess of pics of my time there, with tidbits here and there.
The entire trip was basically an Anniversary thing for my Wife and I (2 years ), and we only went for Saturday. But it was a really good time, and we had some Con noobs with us (Therese's good friend and her dude, Justin)... so that made it even more fun.
First off, the autographs. at past FX cons, you could get a photo taken with the star.. but now they charge for that... so we had to sneak pics here and there. So that took the fun out of some of them, also the price was extremely high for Nimoy and moderately higher for Marsters. So that made for a more expensive trip than I had planned.
One of the highlights for me was meeting Jonathan Frakes, he was always one of my favorite Trek character actors and it really was a great moment when I was able to tell him how much his acting meant to me growing up.
James Marsters was another stand out, he was very nice and funny as Hell. I absolutely loved talking to him, and seeing as though we had a professional photo taken later... we had even more chances to chat with him as well. He kind of stole the show for me, one of the greatest actor meeting experiences I have ever had.
Leonard Nimoy was a challenge, it took a lot of time and money to get up there for my auto. And once I was there, I didn't get to say much and all I got was a thank you and I was off... So that kinda sucked, but I can understand that he must be pretty tired of conventions by this point in his life. Still, he was a nice guy and it was awesome to meet one of my all time favs.
There were also other actors we met, Julie Benz, Juliette Landau, and others.. here are some random pics..
