They look alright. Some like Gung-Ho, Cobra Trooper, Baroness, and Storm Shadow look really good. Others like Scarlet, Duke, and Destro look too much like a Anime cartoon.
I really wish they would try and make them more realistic like the way they appeared in the 80's cartoons.
And it just goes to show you how far Hasblo has their collective heads up their ass' when they keep releasing commando style Snake Eyes; it's the visored version fans love.
I'll likely buy them all, if I have the money.

Bah!!! These aren't G.I. Joe!!! When I was a kid, we played with the real thing! 12" G. I. Joes are the only REAL Joes!!!! :rotfl To this day, I think the invention of the 3 3/4" figure was a travesty!!!
What? you mean you used to play with DOLLS?! Sorry, but I rather not play barbie dream house. Give me the Real American Hero with jets, rocket packs, hovercraft, and big F*ckin' tanks!
:rotfl

:p

Zartan...
I still remember picking him up at Service Merchandise. Finding him in the cabinet, waiting for them to bring him out of the back.

Fond memories. I also remember my mom driving me all over town to find Xamot and Tomax.

I loved destro...bad a$$ mo-fo. i hope they also do a hooded cobra commander...bummed about snake eyes though.

Wasn't the character of Gung-Ho based on some real life wrestler? I seem to remember something like that....

Actually, these figures...even Scarlett,Duke and Destro are some of the most realistic looking Joes compared to what Hasbro was putting out years earlier (I'm not talking about ol' 80's-90's RAH) around 2002-2006.

Go check out YoJoe.com to see what they did. It was like Eco-Warriors and Ninja Force all over again...bright colors, crappy "action attack", and luckily there were a few gems...but that was when Hasbro was aiming the GI Joe line towards kids, this line is aimed to collectors.

Hey, the 12" Joes had cool stuff too! I owned (and still do!) the Water Sled that ran on batteries and would actually cruise through the water and even dive and run underwater!!! There was the Jeep, the Space Capsule, and a lot of other very cool accessories! And with the 12" Joes, you could change their outfits, put them on stretchers, and have stuff that fit in their hands!!! No one can convince me that the 3 3/4" Joes are more fun than the 12" were! NO ONE!!! :rotfl :D :rotfl

I own several of the latest RAH Joes and they are a bit more exaggerated then they are here, but these still have a Anime characteristic to their faces and have exaggerated proportions.
The 80's Joes were more realistic but very dated, I'd want them to look as realistic as Hasbro's newer Star Wars figures.

You know I bought the re-release of that capsule and I just couldn't figure out how anyone could play with the damn thing, it's just too large. The larger RAH Vehicles were mostly bases like the Aircraft Carrier and land based vehicles, the larger jets would be an issue sometimes which is why I didn't play with them as often.
In case you don't know, you could take a screwdriver to your RAH Joes' backs and thighs and switch out the different pieces. So technically, you could change all their outfits.

That's Sgt. Slaughter I believe.

No, Sgt. Slaughter was based on WWF's Sgt. Slaughter. Looks like and Voiced by the WWF wrestler even.

That Cobra Commander is the Cobra Commander I've been wanting ever since I knew who Cobra Commander was! It even looks like his helmet can be removable! I hope that means he will include the hood mask as well. The only thing I see wrong is the helmet is lacking the white stripe on the top. Minor, and I can live without it, but worth mentioning nonetheless.

I woul LOVE a Sideshow Cobra Commander with both masks! :D

I just really really hope they make a visor Snake-Eyes. I mean, it's not the "original" look, but it's the most iconic!

I'm starting to wonder if these will come with multiple heads or variants, etc. Cobra Commander is a perfect example. While the face plate mask is the most iconic on the show, he did wear the hood quite a bit. In the pic it looks like the blue part of his helmet could come off. As does the silver area. I'd guess he would at least come with an alternate head/mask/version etc. if not Snake Eyes as well.

These are the best Joes I've seen in a long time. I know I'd be getting Cobra Commander for sure and likely Destro and Storm Shadow. Perhaps all of them to have the "iconic" looks. Any news of other figures or if these will be released as single figures or in two-packs like in recent years?

BTW, I've changed my avatar because of my excitment of this line! :D

Sweet avatar bro! If the heads all use a ball-and-socket system then I really hope we get to see some variation, because that Snake-eyes would otherwise be perfect if they would just give us an option. I hope they do, because Storm Shadow looks absolutely FLAWLESS, and needs a foe worthy of his glory.

Oh, and Baroness looks pretty slick too, except the painted on glasses just don't quite look natural..........

One thing I'm not sure about the Cobra Commaner figure is the silver area of the mask. As you can see in my avatar there was a distinct line in the center. I always assumed the mask came to a sort of point in the middle. The figure though seems to be completely smooth as have other statues and busts. Always thought that was just odd because that line is visable pretty much from any angle in the show.

Snake Eyes should definately have the visor head. That is what I remember from the show and not the head they have on him now.

So if there are 10 figures so far, would 15 more be a good guess since it is the 25 Anniversary? If so I'd pick:

Zartan
Lady Jay
Flint
Dr. Mindbender
Tomax
Xamot
Major Bludd
Spirit/Eagle
Serpentor
Beachhead
Firefly
BAT
Frostbite
Mutt/Junkyard
Dusty :D

From my list I can see I know more Cobras than Joes :lol The badguys were always cooler right? Besides the first few on that list, I can't think of any "major" characters that haven't been covered yet.

As long as Lady Jaye makes it I'll be happy. I wonder if they'll stick to the original joes exclusively, or if they'll include newer joes, like Snake-eyes apprentices Kamakura and Jinx (though she isn't "new" per se), Heavy Duty, or some newer troopers. I'm really curious to see who else is there. The B.A.T. would be amazing to see with the new details; after seeing the new vintage IG-88 I bet they could make one sweet B.A.T. trooper.

Buttmunch, I'm a Commander-phile, too, and I see what you're talking about with the mask (which is my favorite version). I see doing a little customizinf will be in order. Maybe just drawing the line down the mask and adding the silver mohawk design....
