I got my Nemesis Immortal delivered a little earlier than expected.

Until we get Golobulus, Pythona and a couple of Royal Guards, Nemmie will stay boxed right alongside Once A Man CC.

And I would love for them to release a Retro cardback Serpentor so I could have one for the Cobra-La display.
So far, I haven't opened any either lol

That’s a good boy, Rawkus. 🤣

Dragonfly arrived today! I’ve only unpacked everything but haven’t assembled it yet so it looks like a helicopter crash at the moment. I have to say I am really impressed with the presentation of the unpacking. It feels like you’re opening a high end item like a statue. Once the outer tape is cut, you don’t need a knife anymore. Everything tabs open. Very classy. I can’t believe this cost less than the Hiss did. They really packed some value into this thing.

And this is of course bigger than anticipated. I mean they gave the dimensions and all but nothing really prepares you for something until you see it in person. I’m glad I didn’t order two now. I’m quickly realizing I’m going to have to start limiting myself to just one of these big type vehicles. Glad I held off on two Rattlers now. Room is quickly running out! If anyone is in need of an unopened Hiss or Vamp, let me know :lol

Dragonfly arrived today.

I’m going to wait until mid-December to open it all up and find a space for it.

I planned on keeping Glenda in box, but after seeing the faces for Ripcord and Crazylegs, I might keep them mint too and just wait for the regular Retro cardback versions.

Much like the HasLab Galactus, I regret not getting in on the Dragonfly. :cry:The figures I don't care much about but the copter is great, from what I've seen on YouTube.

I knew I’d like the Iron Grenadiers but had no idea Alpine (my first figure for this character) was so cool!
I saw the new Storm Shadow at GameStop today but passed on it. I prefer SS as a Cobra anyway but I’ll pick this one they fix some issues for the Retro Cardback.
However, I couldn’t pass up the GiJoe Compendium One at GameStop. What’s beast of a book!!

I knew I’d like the Iron Grenadiers but had no idea Alpine (my first figure for this character) was so cool!

I think some of the hesitancy on Alpine, IMHO, is the removable hat. If his hat was molded on, I think that would have made him look a bit less like a middle aged divorced guy in a minivan. I don't really get the removable glasses/baseball hat/beret sometimes. There are some instances, like Falcon, where they would have been better off molding it into the head. Stuff like Lady Jaye and the removable hairpiece works though, that was a good compromise. But probably expensive to do from an R&D perspective.

Same thing with the Dreadnoks, how often are most collectors going to want it take off their sunglasses? If I could trade molded on sunglasses for the engine backpack / gas can backpack instead for Buzzer / Ripper, that would have been IMHO a no brainer trade off. I mean, IIRC, Big Ben has his hat molded on, so it's not like they are unwilling to do it.

Will still hold to my belief every Joe should come with the classic Snow Job laser rifle. And every Cobra get that grease gun laser submachinegun thing.

Not your fault but it’s kind of messed up the compendiums ended up at retail before the kickstarter backers get theirs. I do fear what all four are going to look like in hand :lol
I had to do so googling to see if it was a different compendium as soon as I saw it in their photo set. Super goofy of them to do that...either they're hoping for double/quintuple-dipping or maybe they have a contractual obligation...but yea, it's goofy of them.
