They don't really have any good shots of Apollo's face, only from a distance and one has a glare on it so it's hard to tell how it looks. From what I can see it looks passable.

I notice they had no new DS figures displayed so that probably doesn't bode well for the future of the line...

The sculpts on the orig. Starbuck and Apollo from Majestic sucked! The Cylons were good though. I just don't see Majestic doing justice to the human figures in this new line given the crap they have put out so far related to BSG figures. I hope to be surprised but I am not holding my breath. I like the new Cylons though.

The updated pics looked pretty good to me - lots of detail in the costuming and the face sculpt and paint was ok too. Been meaning to get me an original BSG Cylon for a while

I just sold my original Cylon... a fairly good figure, but he had the monkey-arm syndrome and the chest armor is really too small compared to the show. He just didn't quite look right :monkey2

The likeness to Apollo just isn't quite there....it's not awful, but it's not great either.

I'm holding off on this line until they release other characters. I like Apollo on the show, but he's not enough to make these a priority for me right now. Wish they had released another character with him, like Adama or Boomer.

Why does no one tell me these things??? I'd have gladly taken him off your hands.

As I feared, the Apollo is at the same level as the OS figures of Apollo and Starbuck. It's very toy-like and barely recognizable as the actor. The costume looks pretty good though.

Pulling this back up because apparently Starbuck and Number Six make up series two (or that's what I've been reading).

In that case I hope they not only improved the wrist articulation, but their entire female body.

I just don't see how they're going to pull off Number Six because of the exposed articulation. Figures in skimpy clothes never look good because of all the articulation. That's why the Prophecy Girl Buffy from SSC never appealed to me.

just started watching this series last week.
kicks major ass. had no idea what I was missing

.. trying to resist the urge to pick up the figures

Dave, did you get the SDCC exclusive Cylon, if so what's the articulation like?
From the looks of it, it seems to only have cut joints like an Hasblow Star Wars droid.

I got the Cyclons and the shoulders are cut and the hips are ball, although the articulation isn't as wide as with a standard ball joint. However for an awkward robot they are articulated well enough.

That's a shame, I would've liked ball jointed shoulders. Cylons didn't move all that well so I guess it's better then nothing at all. Still I love the TV show enough to buy them even if they were as articulated as a Hasblow 3P0.
Thanks for the answer.

Don't know if it was the lighting in the display case, but Lee Adama's uniform looks like it's the wrong color. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the flight suits more of metallic green on the show? In all of these photos the flight suit looks black.

Agree about the HS not being the best likeness and looking pretty cartoon-like. That's too bad. This could have been a really good line.

Except for the color, the uniform does look pretty good, although I haven't seen any good shots of Cpt. Adama's sidearm and holster.
