Re: Giants of the silver screen, sculpts

Hi Guys,

Here's another few heads I've been working on of classic legendary actors who have appeared in war movies.

Hope you like them!

Top Right - Kirk Douglass

I don't know the guy in the hat, but the others are spot on, I'm intrigued that you sculpt the front half first, do you bake then ad the rear?

Thanks shocktrooper, yes, that is the process I employ, Tony Barton advised me and very useful I've found his advice to be.

Cheers,
Peter.

very good likenesses peter, columbos lips could be a little thinner and straight if you get me

Re: Pete's custom heads, Columbo and Piorot.

yep. i meant straighter but curled up at the ends with the wry smile

Re: Pete's custom heads, Columbo and Piorot.

Yeah, even at your break-neck speed of sculpting it's still easy to get buried back 3 or 4 pages :lol

Awesome work on Columbo :rock

Re: Pete's custom sculpts, Columbo and Piorot.

Thanks guys, glad you liked the sculpts, guess I will have to find someone more popular to do.

CHeers,
Peter.

Well if you're ever looking for suggestions... I've been hoping someone would sculpt Clarence Boddicker from Robocop for years now. I've gotten close with a few artists, but still nada :huh

By the way, I have several of Peter's sculpts, and I must say that they are even better looking than the pictures posted! His Kirk Douglas makes a great Sparticus bash...much better, hands down, than other Douglas sculpts out there..
