Man I must be checking these boards like every hour hoping to see the inevitable 'Sideshow 12" Gandalf the Grey official image' thread for the first proper in-hand pics. The wait is driving me nuts!
 
Well it may not have shipped yet. It's still at billing info received, but it's still kinda early in CA. Still it's time for some decent pics to show up.

Okay, since some have already figured it out... my "source" is Atom Hues. He's had the figure for a week or two now. But at this moment he's way too busy to post or even take good pics to share. And I'm too lazy to drive to his place and do it myself. :monkey1

But, patience my fellow Freaks. SOON we will all bask in the glory of this figure. :rock :rock :rock

So he's the one that said it's cast HT style? And it's as good as Ben kenobi?

Yes and yes. Though, to be honest, I can't recall the actual quote (it's in this thread somewhere) and never clarified with him about the HT-cast thing. But when it comes to 1:6 stuff (much like comics and art) I always assume Adam is on top of things. But he was extremely clear that he loves this figure and compared it directly to Old Ben, which was probably his favorite 1:6 Sideshow figure to date. So I consider this an endorsement that should make all of us happy and even more excited to have Gandalf in our hands. :rock

EDIT: Oh and he got Gandalf the same day as General Kenobi. He liked that one, too, but seemed much more excited about how Gandalf turned out, fwiw.
