Gandalf 12" up for order!

usually the hair on the lotr line is great; look at the hobbits, faramir (under that paint it actually is an amazing sculpt), and boromir. leggy and aragorn were simple, but not really bad either - the line was just starting after all.

i love how the hair looks all detailed and curled in the proto's pics. i hope it's at least half as nice in person.

May seem silly, but hair was one of my main concerns all along with Gandalf, it has a certain looks, especially, GTG, very worn, rough looking and the sculpt captured it very well.

dude that's not silly at all. for me it's one of the things that makes his look. if they don't get enough detail in it, it'll really lose a lot of it's zip, know what i mean?

I see Ian in the eye paint and the overall face. It's a lousy picture, so if he looks that good in a crap photo, I'm very confident he'll be every bit as good as the proto in hand, the portrait anyway, we can't see the costume yet.

Unfortunately, that pic looks like crap. I'm certain the sculpt will look considerably better. At least we can see that the skin-tone looks good. Eye painting looks basic but that may not be a bad thing.

That's gotta be one of the worst "teaser" pics ever, yet it's still possible to just make out some of the deeper lines of the original sculpt around the eyes and forehead. Hard to tell about coloring... his beard looks almost white in the pic, but I'm confident the subtle shadows and highlights will be there.

I agree with those who believe that this is only going to get better as all is finally revealed in some decent pics... and thankfully that shouldn't be too painfully much longer. Can't wait to see how his costume and Glamdring turned out, not to mention both of his staves and the Book of Mazarbul!
