I'll tell ya, if SDCC comes and goes and no GTW pre-order or not shown on display, I am not gonna be happy.

If there is no announcement at SDCC, I'm out. I'll sell Frodo and Lurtz and give the big middle finger to SS. They are killing this line before it even starts

Haven't we heard several times that "all stops are coming out" but yet nothing seem to happen!

I've been very loyal to SS but now I'm starting to get really pissed!! Before I read the newsletter as soon as I could, now I don't really look forward to it or anything... Cause I know that it wont be anything worth reading in it... Other then empty promises.

I really hope they prove me wrong soon!!!

They've already lost mine (and a lot of other's) business on the 12" line becuase of the slow pace. They're about to do the same thing with the PF line.

I'll probably sell Frodo and keep Lurtz, but buy no more of them if no figure is shown at SDCC.

Lurtz is pretty cool as a stand alone PF IMO so I'll keep him and only him.

SS's pace at these PF's is beyond pathetic.

From what I've heard they're pulling out all the stops to get GtW ready for SDCC, but its still not 100% guaranteed that we will see him there. If things go to plan I expect a teaser picture just before SDCC. Also, I've heard that neither the 12" nor the PF line is dead and we should expect some exciting announcements in the near future... Here's hoping

Don't shoot the messenger . Just reporting what I've heard, and I'll be equally upset if he doesn't make it, but apparently it is still not 100% certain that he will....

As I've said before, I think SS possibly didn't research this enough before announcing the PF line - the LotR costumes are hugely more detailed than most and I get the impression (at least from Lurtz and Frodo) that they're trying to stay as true to the originals as is possible, hence the delays.

Now if we could just crack the whip with those silkworms, then things might start to move a little faster!!

Let's just wait till SDCC before we go taking SS head off shall we? I lack patience but dang guys you all are making me look like Jobe here. They've said that LOTR will have a pretty nice presence at SDCC. So I'll roll with that and see what happens then react to how it goes.

I have ZERO doubts GTW won't be at SDCC. I would be shocked above shocked. I know I'm gonna get killed on this one but we don't know what role NL plays in any delay of these items. SS isn't the only one in this dance.

i agree, and in fact getting ready to put my Lurtz up in the commerce section. i love lurtz and everyone that sees him says he looks great, but due to the lack of announcements i've gone into the marvel format now. and IMO it seems like SS is leaning more towards marvel and star wars than anything else. i know they wanted to open the flood gates with the star wars line a while ago, but that doesn't mean they need to divert all their attention to it. to me it just seems like SS doesn't care about the other lines anymore. there's always an announcement for star wars and marvel, but look at the LOTR, Horror, Military lines???

The only thing I can think of is because they can release GTG PF IF they get the upcoming "The Hobbit" franchise.

You've nailed it right there, my friend. Gandalf the Grey is much more iconic and would be the hottest seller by far. SS (or any other company, for that matter) would rather hold that ace until later, and offer the White version initially. Many would order the White, just in case it's the only Gandalf version that ends up being released.

I am in the predicament where I want the Fellowship and a few key baddies only, and I'll likely order Gandalf the White just to make sure that I get a Gandalf in the line. Given how much I like Frodo and Lurtz though, I'd probably keep him even after they offer a Grey version.
