Again, if you're really naive enough to think NL has no role in how these things go then be my guest. However, I know some of us are aware enough to realize all the blame doesn't just lay in SS bed.

My point was that we have waited this long ALREADY! Ok...and crazytrain suggested that we might not even see GTW at SDCC either. I think that is reason enough to be upset.

I don't buy into the whole New Line conspiracy theory either. Yes, they own the rights. But, I kinda doubt they make these decisions. Or tell SS (or any other collectible company) "it looks to good, FIX IT!" Maybe, I'm wrong, maybe NL told Cinemaquette to "fix" their Aragorn piece.

Shoot, for all we know. SS could have the next 4 - 6 P.F.'s already done (they did say 2 - 3 per year didn't they?) and New Line is just holding them up....

NL to SS "Hey guys, lets wait till 2011 to release the next P.F. , I think thats when the Hobbit goes into production."

You can not buy into it all you want. If you don't think NL has any say at all in how things go then you don't know much about these types of things. These items have to go through a process before they get to us and I can guarantee without even knowing anything NL has a say in the process. So you stick your head in the sand and believe what you want but I'll trust my instincts over yours anyday.

Is the license from Tolkien Estate? or is it through NL since they are using movie likeness? If it isn't through NL, then you would think that they wouldn't have any say in how the figures are made, but if it is, I can see how they would.

The license would be from NL since it's based off the Movies which would give them a say but I'm sure somewhere in the accounting process the TE gets a piece.

I'm more and more nervous about this line and the 12" continuing, but at ORC it was said that 2 PFs would be revealed before the end of this year. We know one will be GtW and the other is rumored to be a female.

Well, we both agree that if GTW isn't shown at SDCC, I'll be pretty mad myself.

i just find it hard to believe that they couldn't make another PF since Frodo was released. i don't care about what order they are released... just because they are having a complicated time with Gandolf doesn't mean they can't start working on another figure right??? after i got my Lurtz last year i was super excited about getting LOTR PFs, but now i just want to get rid of Lurtz and use that money to get something else.

I totally agree with what you say, apart from the part where you say you want to get rid of Lurtz. I managed to get the exclusive and I LOVE it. I'm not planning on selling it. But please Sideshow..... hurry up and give us something to look forward to (apart from a simple "announcement").
