Gandalf the White PF Edition Size

I don't collect PFs, but this looks like a pretty nice piece. I can't help but think that the likeness needs some work, though. The face on this NECA 20" figure looks a lot closer to me.

Anyway, I'm just waiting for a 12" version of Gandalf the Grey.

That's the one that I've got posed with my 1/6 LOTR collection and he looks pretty good (also since I snagged him for $30 Canadian he always makes me smile).





I just cancelled the Wicket VCD and both of the POTC 12" that I had on order (Jack Sparrow & Elizabeth Swan). I'm still debating about this Gandalf the White PF Exc..... I'd like to get him and pose him with the NECA Grey as bookends but with so much good stuff coming in the final quarter I'm still debating it--- well at least he's scheduled for the first quarter of '08 so I might hold off on any decision just now.

I keep going back and forth on this. I want it but I think outside of the Fellowship in their FOTR garb (plus a couple of others) I may just get those.

That's where I am too. I just sold my Lurtz to Boba Fett last month, so all I have now is Frodo. And if I don't see movement on the Fellowship sometime soon (like, at least one PF announced in the next six months or so), Frodo may be going away as well.

I've got too many lines clamoring for my attention, and with the size of my SSW collection, I don't feel any compelling need to add that many large, expensive LOTR pieces. Maybe an LSB here or there, and a few of the dios, but otherwise I'm sticking with the GG busts for future LOTR purchases.

I've focused solely on the 1/6 LOTR line and I've been very happy with the offerings. I'm really wrestling with keeping this PF or not--- but as I said it's not due until the first quarter of 2008 so I have some time to think it over-- I'll also see how my bank account is after managing to get through the final quarter of '07.

Well, I may be selling off a lot of my SSW stuff and taking that money to put down on a house. I would then focus on the 1:6th and Dios. The PF's I would still pick up once in a while when I see something I HAD to have but...........

I just gave the exclusive the axe. The more I look at it the less I like it. Not crazy about the pose and I am just not "wowed" by it overall and for the price I need to really like it.

If I like people in hand pics of if I am sure I'll be able to get one off eBay for a better price down the road.

I've been on the line about this one too. If I get one it'll be the exclusive because I don't like the open handed pose but I am a bigger fan of GTG which I'm sure will eventually be a PF. Its projected to ship in January right? So I have some time but I'm still really on the fence.
