Gandalf the White PF Edition Size

How will The Hobbit generate interest in Gandalf the White?

I ask you.

This is the same ES as Frodo, only split between the exclusive and the regular.

I don't see it helping the popularity of the piece much. Lurtz is still their only homerun in the PF line, and even that hasn't sold out yet.

I'm still holding on to my Exc.... (as my first LOTR PF) but my finger is still on the cancel button. The position of that extended leg and the overall physicality of the piece still isn't speaking to me-- but I'll hold onto it for now.

I had the exclusive on pre-order and then canceled it. Overall, this PF figure is nice, but it's not fantastic. If I didn't already have WETA's Gandalf on Shadowfax, I probably would have kept my order. But I don't desire to duplicate characters. If I ever get a change of heart, I'm sure I could find the regular version on deep discount in the future.

So far, I only have Lurtz, and the way things are going that's the only one I'll ever own. Sideshow will never make the characters I'd like to see represented in PF.

I've been debating that back and forth, as this too would be MY first LOTR PF as well.

Thing is, with such a SMALL edition size...and with the fact that I nabbed an exclusive, I know I'd kick myself if I cancel and then they announce a 1/4 Saruman.

Something about having both the good and the evil white wizards displayed together appeals to me.

Just try to make them look good the next time around. PLEASE.

You got the detailing down pat, just put more effort into faces and poses, and show them in the moments that truly count in the story. You kinda attempted that with Frodo and Gandalf, but you didn't hit home runs, not really.
