Holy Fu ck. I mean, HF. I think I'll change the title of this thread to GITM4AGSM2F. The funny thing is, I generally hate acronyms. I wrote STM in a moment of madness 'cause I remembered seeing it in the HT Superman thread.

Do Hot Toys only do two bodies, tru type and muscle? They could create a thin body just by taking a female body and replacing the breasts with a flat chest.

Well there is the upcoming Michael Jackson slim body, but I think that would be too skinny. Maybe the modified body (with the slimmer shoulders) they used for TDK Batman?

But I would be all over a HT Spidey 2. I just don't see them making it since they seem to pick up only current films, or major "classics" (Alien, Rocky, etc). As cool as Spiderman 2 was, I don't think it fits into the same category as them.

Surely the market for a Spiderman figure from HT has to be at least as large as the market for a Rocky figure?

Well, it's not high end and it's not 1/6th scale, but the Toybiz 18" Ultimate Spider-Man from SM2 is pretty amazing. One of the finest figures I own, and it was only $20.00 way back when.

Yeah, you're probably right, then again the Rocky figs might have had cheaper rights attached to them. I just don't see HT doing a Spiderman line without it being linked to a current film. Still, they did decide to do Edward Scissorhands so who knows! Any idea how well the Spiderman movies did in Asia? That might have a big impact on their choices too.

Spider-man is Sony. HT's relationship seems to be with Marvel and they might just be through SSC. And we won't see any more Spidey movie stuff until 4 and 5 come out. And that will still be Sony - so it won't be a no-brainer for HT to get the rights.

If you custom a little, you could throw that outfit and maybe the hands on a Medicom Spidey.
I'm not sure, but it looks like the mask that comes in that pack is plastic rather than cloth.

The Mask is like a soft rubber, it tears easiy after awhile.

I went to stretch my arms the other night in my lazy-boy and knocked that damn figure down off of the shelf right onto my head. Third time I've done that. That ^^^^^***'s heavy!!

The mask is rubber and mine is cracking and since it's such a tight fit on Toby's head I don't dare try to mask him again.

There's pretty much been an all around lack of decent high-end type product for any Marvel film. Lots of cheap crap to go around, though.

I am, however, actually suprised by the amount of great looking Iron Man stuff so far. (Mostly from Hot Toys)
