What kind of game is it? RTS or some kind of flying game?
Ola Fingaz,
Its RTS, but you can jump into any of the vehicles youre commanding.
If you launch 3 differing types of squadrons from your carrier you can fly a
fighter, torpedo plane or bomber for example. Or you can just stay on the carrier and run flight ops.
Or you can jump to a different ship in your fleet and command destroyers,PT boats, battleships or subs.
If you dont like too micro manage unlike me, you give the units you control general orders then let the A.I. take over (which did pretty good job in the first game).
I used to send the torp planes by way point but would take over at the end to release the torp as I was more accurate than the A.I.
If you like commanding ships then youre in charge of allocating men to damage control (fire/flooding) dont do it right and fire will reach the magazines and
Ka blewie
However if you manage flooding well on a battleship you can be a friggin nightmare to the other team. You also control AA fire and main guns and steering.
Your steering, turrets can be damaged and youll need to allocate men to repair them. You can blow planes up while they are on the carrier decks.
Also depth charges are on some units. Some guys just want to control subs...
Which is an art all its own. If sonar doesnt pick them up....youd better act fast.
On multi player its usually 4 versus 4.
All units have strengths and weakness'
But if you love WW2 like I do you owe this game a rental at least.
This is one of the few games I havent sold so if you want to give multi a shot we can go one on one and give you some pointers.
(Battlestations Midway is out now and Battlestations Pacific is due out in a few months)
It looks like they upgraded the graphics as well as added lots more units to play. (Landing marines and dropping AB troops is new)
The in game tutorials were excellent.
All the planes you see in the sky can be shot down or controlled.
They arent there just for "atmosphere"
These are in game shots, but looks like they took out the HUD to show case the graphics.
