You can get an N router and it will work fine with Xbox and your other existing stuff (b/c it's backwards compatible), but it will not enhance the speed from more than a G router would. It has to have a compatible N adapter to work with; Microsoft's adapter is only A/B/G.

Dee and I ask and most of the time nobody wants to switch. I am never opposed to switching hosts, all ya gotta do is ask.

I hosted awhile last night(all be it we were playing Horde). I dont see what the big deal is someone wants to host then go ahead and do it. I personally dont like to host much cause theres times when I have to jump off real quick and I dont wanna disconnect everyone in the middle of a match. We all know there a small bonus in being the host but thats the way it is and theres nothing we can do about it. Time to move on.

It doesn't bother me who hosts. So thats why I don't say anything. I will host whenever I'm asked. I think I've only ever hosted like 2-3 times.

That is what I am trying to explain though. I wish you guys could see what I see. I honestly have about a 3 second lag to just about every game I connect too. Half the time I don't even see the person standing in front of me until I'm dead.

I also don't want to just move on. I tried that and I missed playing with you guys. I just want to tone down the frustration a bit and try something else to see if it helps. I know there are still hiccups and such. I just can't compete with the lag.

I played Gears 1 with all you guys and was a very competitive player. With two I am lucky to get a couple kills a match.

In Gears 1 it was tolerable. I could still rack up kills when Ill or Kit hosted. Dee still had a shat ass connection.

Gears 2 hates my system for some reason.

I understand. Wasnt trying to say anyone was moaning or what not just saying it is what it is the host has a edge but someones gotta host so someones always gonna have the edge and others wont.

Wasnt trying to imply moving on to another game or what not but the host conversation seems like one weve all had before. I we could have a rotating host setup that be cool but not everyone is always on at the same time. I do understand your frustration about the lag and WTF how did I just die from no where BS....almost alll of us have been there.
