No one is trying to claim that Durant is the best ever tho.

My point was Lebron already beat the great dynasty of GS, so there is nothing to prove and nothing for him to gain by joining them. While Lebron will probably finish his career with a different team, he won't join a team he couldn't beat like Durant, who had potential to take the best player in the league title.

LeBron has the “bring in somebody in don’t like and I’m leaving” card. And Irving was gone no matter what LeBron wanted because he didn’t want to get stuck with a d-league team next year when LeBron left…. Kyrie out Lebron’ed LeBron and left first. I will agree that he was great in Miami with Wade but that was 5 years ago and I think his attitude has maybe changed towards his teammates (like kicking Wade back to Miami this season)

That's a lot of speculation without any evidence man. Lebron exercised his options to leave after 2 long contracts, so it's not the same. Kyrie threw a tantrum and got his way, with the stupid GM trading him to their biggest rival. What kind of GM in their right mind would do that?

Well, Lebron beat the GSW without Durant. He hasn't beaten this version of the team. He might if he goes to a decent team.

As I figured, Cavs trying to send a message..problem is no answer for Durant . Durant is a beast and is why Cavs won’t win the series :horror

Another sweep for GOAT.

Yeah pretty much . To think all Durant needed was to be on a team where he didn’t have to win the game himself, eventhough that’s what it seems like but the difference is Durant doesn’t feel the pressure because he knows he has the weapons to rely on.

KD will make Dubs a dynasty ..just crazy

Durant couldn't get it done with 2 great players, so the key for him was going someplace that had 3. I think they win 1 more after this year if they stay healthy, then they either dismantle or they get knocked off. Even if you take Lebron out of the equation all together, Bos is going to be a bigger threat than Hous is.

This series was over the minute JR Smith made that bonehead blunder, and everyone on both teams knew it and everyone watching knew it too.

That's gonna live in Cleveland Hall of Shame infamy for all time right alongside The Drive, The Shot, The Fumble....

I call it The Blunder, but I don't know what society at large will call it. Whatever it is, it's gonna be printed on JR Smith's tombstone someday.

Agreed. Had the Cavs taken Game 1, this series would have taken a different turn. Not saying that Cleveland would win the series, but some pressure would have been put on GS.

This picture from this angle would drive any Cleveland fan mad.

Just look how wide open LeBron James is at the top of the key. Yes, the defense would have rushed out to him if JR had the awareness to pass James the ball, but I think any Cavs fan would rather have had LeBron taken a last second shot than going into five minutes of overtime.

That said if Lebron was open they probably would have rushed him but Smith should at least give Lebron a chance, we know James would play smart and draw some kind of contact and a foul. Then that’s it game 1 over, Cavs win from free throws. If this is a sweep or even if GS loses gm4 on purpose and wins in Oracle in gm5 for the fans, this blunder will forever haunt Cleveland and Smith’s career like the Buckner incident and Steve what’s his name for the Cubs in MLB. Eventhough Cubs and Cavs did become champs at one point, it still will be edged in the archives to fans and the media, now of course for the Cavs case this is a given if Lebron leaves Cleveland. But the question is, Cleveland has given Lebron full control , if Lebron went to another team would he have the same power to fit his needs. So he needs to think about that :dunno

I was at a charity auction last weekend--they had a signed GS Curry Jersey it sold for $1200 CAD one bidder--no other takers...kinda wish I picked it up...

That’s why his team isn’t playing for him, they know he’s gone too

that's bogus from my stand point. A lot of these guys will never even hope to see another chance at getting to the finals. If they are giving up just because of Lebron, that says more about them. He actually tried to get them more involved instead of taking 30+ shots. Once in a lifetime opportunity. One can either quit or rise to the occasion and at least say they gave it their all. I could never imagine quitting if I was in their shoes.

It boils down to Cle has been a AWFUL defensive team all year, so to expect them to beat the best group of scorers ever to exist on one roster isn't even realistic. They had some chances to be up 2-1 in this series, but they simply are not a good team. They shouldn't have gotten this far to begin with.
