The Dewback. If you can't afford it get the Biker Scout.

I'm getting the TaunTaun only because I love those creatures. Luke doesn't look very good, but the statue isn't really about him, IMO. My 2 Luke 1/4's are all the Luke likenesses I need.

Skip the others and save up your money for the Sideshow 1/4's or an Attakus statue if you prefer no cloth. Both are significantly better quality.

Harry Potter...or the Corpse Bride when they're released.

I would agree with SS. Screw Attakus they want way too much freaking money for their stuff. I saw some Attakus stuff at SDCC and it wasn't any better than GG. Get the GG stuff and the SS stuff and you have the cost of Attakus

Biker Scout bust, it is still affordable and a awesome piece. It was my first GG bust and I haven't looked back since.

I like the Maul statue, but I wish SS would hurry with a couple more 1/4's. I just know that the SS Maul will be the one to have.

I saw some Attakus stuff at SDCC and it wasn't any better than GG.

I dare you to fine ONE paint flaw on ANY Attakus statue ever released. 95% of my Sideshow pieces have some sort of paint problem, even though the sculpts are fantastic.

I didn't take any pics nor do I own one. So I can't do what your asking. I would imagine that there are at least 1 of every piece with some kind of paint flaw especially if humans are doing the painting. Also for the price of the Attakus pieces they better be freaking perfect!!

All I can say for GG is that I have 18 of their pieces and never got one that had damage or paint flaws.

I believe that one of the reasons that Attakus are so expensive is that they are produced in France, not China. So there is a bit more quality control on production, even if they don't put as much effort into the human sculpts.

I read that at the time Attakus did not have the rights for the human likeness so they could only similar sculpts.

As for GG Ive had them with bad paint job and chips ect on their statues and busts.

It's all in the eye of the beholder. I used to think Attakus was way over-priced, but I recently got a Vader 2 from Mike Richards. The statue is a work of art. Sideshow's Vader has a lot to live up to in my opinion.

Here is a pic of both Attakus Vaders and the GG Vader. All three look freaking AWESOME!! The only thing I see a reason for Attakus to charge more is the size and its not big enough to charge the prices they are charging.

I have an Attakus piece, and yes their paint job is flawless, but what good is a great paint job when the sculpture isn't.
I actually think that the GG sculptures are better than Attakus even though Attakus produces some great pieces... and I don't like the mixed media stuff because sometimes it looks like a toy. but I don't want to go back to that discussion, because people that already have a big collection of some manufacturer likes to "protect" their investment.

The person that took that pic did it to show just how poorly the GG Vader holds up to the 2 Attakus versions.

With the exception of Jabba and the 2 Vaders, they are no more expensive than Sideshow pieces.

No doubt that the Attakus Luke looks absolutely horrible. uke Obi-Wan and Han also look much worse than the Sideshow version. The humans DO look bad in general, but I thnk the Han and Slave Leia are fine. Where they excel is in the non-human creations.

Where does Gentle Giant excel? The CW Maquettes and dioramas. Some of their busts are excellent. Their statues are by far the worst on the market. Their scanners must have broken when they were working on Vader's head as the dimensions are waaay off. I've seen the GG Vader in person and it is terrible!uke

Look, I don't care which manufacturer makes the piece as long as it's as close to perfection as possible. If Gentle Giant was making what I considered quality statues, then I would be behind them 100%. I LOVE their Clone War maquettes. They're my favorite thing they make. A few of their busts are absolutely fantastic. The new Yoda bust looks great and it will be the first bust from them I keep.

3. New Vader Bust
4. Grievous Maquette
5. Anakin Maquette
6. 2 Female Jedi Maquette
7. I'll get Luke on TaunTaun when it's released or when the ES is announced

Yeah, but you don't have any GG 1/6 piece and you have the SS statue line which you are investing your money.

IMO the GG Vader is much better than the two Attakus pieces . The Attakus looks too static and boring and that's for 1/4 of the price and yes that's really irritating and frustrating for those that have paid a lot of cash for those Attakus pieces... and the same applys to the C3PO and Chewie statues.

I am in agreement with Elwood 100% on his view of Attakus and GG.

I do not even own an Attakus piece anymore but their quality is better than GG for sure.

Attakus humans look horrible IMO but the "masked" characters look great.

I have seen the GG Vader in person...it's pretty bad. Spend your money on the Sideshow or Attakus Vader.

I favor no company. I just want the highest quality, most "screen accurate" piece.
