If Fett is sold out at the con I've decided I'll put the funds I would have spent toward additional autographs instead. Yes paying for signatures is kind of lame but I figure I can always buy an action figure on the secondary market at some point in the future, even years later if need be. But next week will really be the only realistic opportunity I'll most likely ever have in my life to meet the people who worked on and starred in these films.

Pictures or it didn't happen. :wink1:

I will bring her back in your honor...after CV. :lol

Aw shucks. :monkey4

They will likely do what they did with the Stormtrooper at SDCC and have a specific allotment of the Fett figure available each day at the show. That way someone who's only coming Saturday would have a shot at getting one as well.

There are 1500 total, so I'd figure the allotment will be 375 each day.

I think I read that about 500 have already been preordered by PGM members. Which would then drop the availability to about 250 per day at CV.

Unless that allotment is in addition to the 1500 supposedly available at the show.

Yes, the card can be opened and closed without damaging it per Gentle Giant. I'll have my Stormtrooper in hand next week and will confirm that when it arrives.

Yes. It opens and closes with a plastic clamshell and the bubble that surrounds the figure just "sits" on the card, so it can be removed without damaging either the bubble or the card. It's the outer clamshell that holds it together. Pretty clever.

Thanks!

I wonder if they'll make an "early bird" kit with a mail in to receive the original figures along with a back drop and display stand?!

Here's pics of how it's packaged, courtesy of Dave Myatt & Rebelscum. It'll give you a better idea of what I'm talking about:

Really easy to remove (and replace) the packaging without damaging any of it. There is nothing glued to the card itself.

Are the limbs solid PVC? Does the articulation feel like the originals? Some of the pics make him look like a rotocast vinyl.

Well, the original Kenner 3&3/4 Stormtooper did have a hollow body with solid plastic limbs... in fact, they all had hollow bodies, correct?
