GG 12-inch Vintage Stormtrooper

I just might have to drop Sideshow's Momaw Nadon for GG's vintage Hammerhead!

For a somewhat gimmicky-retro-cash-in these are surprisingly awesome. It's hard to narrow down just which few to pick up.

What amazes me is how well these sculpts scale up. The clean lines look even better blown up.

The mold lines on Hammerhead look a little too pronounced (seam going through the front of his head, and on the sides of his arms) but the rest look good.

While the placement is accurate, I hope they tone them down just a bit.

i cant see getting all of them but that boba fett is a must. & i agree as well that the mold lines are kinda wonky & hopefully they will clean them up a bit.

Being someone who works alot on miniatures (Warhammer), those mold lines are killing me. Especially on Hammerhead and the Tusken's head section.

The in-hand pic of the Stormtrooper looks very clean, though.

I almost think GG wants to play up the mold lines and play up the whole primitive vintage look.

I think for better or worse, the mold lines are part of the look of the vintage figures and probably won't be removed.

Stormtrooper is an SDCC exclusive and Boba is a Celebration 5 exclusive. The others should go up for regular preorder at a later date.

Actually only partially right, Stormy and Boba on ESB card backs are exclusive, but they will be released on SW(ANH) card backs along with the others.
