If that is the case, then I will have overreacted.

Then again I may have to add this to the list of Marion Ravenwood, The Bride, Ripley from Alien, Arwen+Galadriel+Eowyn from LOTR and all the other 1:6 females not made.

The Bride was done and released by Sideshow. Riply was done in HT's Aliens line but without Weaver's likeness because she turned them down.

Sideshow? NECA did some Kill Bill figures (I have a very nice statue and one of the 6" figures), but nothing in the true 1:6 clothed figure style. Kill Bill has so much potential for cool characters Beatrix, Bill, Elle, PaiMei, O-Ren Ishii, a Crazy 88 (QT himself!)

Takara got as far as showing this:

And are you sure that Sigourney Weaver refused? I thought it was just a weak headsculpt from HT in its earlier days, particularly their issues with female head sculpts.

I stand corrected. Enjoy it while you may. :pfft:

When I read The Bride, there's only one in my book, and that's Frankenstein's Monster's gal. Sorry for the mix-up. :lol As for Ripley, yes. She didn't grant HT permission to use her likeness. She's done the same to Sideshow as well. Hence SSC's little slam about making a "prettier Ripley" in the backstage pass vid for their Powerloader statue.

I was stating that this is an easy idea and that another company (like Hasbro) could churn them out just as well and for a cheaper price.

I'm very glad that Hasbro isn't doing these. There's no way that they'd have the expertise or inclination to laser scan mint samples of the original molds. Instead they'd give us "approximations" like the new rocket firing Fett (still cool, but can't compare to the real thing.)

Laser scanned.. didn't know that bit. That makes it even better.

Eh, when people start to get these in-hand, we'll be better able to judge the overall quality that GG has put it. There's no guarantee that GG will get these right. Even with the trouble of making exact copies, there's still the problem of making them look right in this scale.

But, I agree that the Hasbro mail-away Boba is terribly weak. This'll be the first time that I get the figures from their vintage line without wanting to get the mail-away item.
