GG Slave Leia

love that GG Leia but since there's no way to set her on Jabba's throne i just got the Koto Leia. she sets nicely on the slab but unfortunately is a wee bit on the small side. she looks in scale against Jaba but smallish next to Bib and Luke.

I'm thinking about picking up a Koto Leia for the same reason, but I do really like the GG statue as well. She'll just have to be displayed on her own.
On a side note, I just wanted to give some major props to BBTS. They were very helpful with my problem, and gave me my choice of how I wanted to handle the missing earring. I decided that it would really be a big waste to go through the whole return/exchange process, so I asked if they could just get a replacement earring for me. They took one from one of their remaining in-stock pieces, and mailed it to me. I guess that means they still have to return a statue to GG, but it sure makes things easier for me.

Somebody need to do a recast of the head and sell them. I would buy one. Im surprised someone hasnt already started doing this.

GG doesn't need to have issues with anybody doing anything after the amount of goodwill they've pissed away since they started the license, especially recently.

And I know what Jason is getting at: someone taking a mold of the head and recasting it for custom 1:6 figures. It's only a matter of time.

I am just wanting the head recast in order to make a half way decent Slave Leia 12". The Hasbro one just isnt cutting it. I thought this was a common practice with customizers.Darth Loki said:

Having done something similar myself, I think this is a grey area of recasting. You aren't recasting the entire statue and trying to sell it, but only taking part of it and creating something completely different.
However I don't think the likeness is good enough to make this a definitive 1/6 Leia figure. I'd probably recast SSC Boussh and resculpt the hair - the likeness is better and it's already sized for a 1/6 figure. The GG head will be a bit small for any of the available bodies out there.

I tend to agree with Dave. This GG likeness doesn't look good enough to warrant recasting. The SS Boussh Leia seems to be much closer (going by the pics)

As no one has offered pictures of incorporating GG's Slave Leia into the SS Jabba display then I'll answer the call for pictures myself--- She arrived just a little while ago.
A little styrofoam carefully placed under Jabba and voila!
Next step is the stairs on either side and the grate under Luke's feet--- Hopefully the Medi Boba will be on the way soon.

Y'know, it doesn't look half bad. There's not too much of the GG pedastal showing, and it's something that you can easily overlook until a better alternative comes along.
Well, as a statue overall, blends in very nicely with the Jabba setup that way, but to me, the pose still looks too sexed up to fit in any sort of group display, it's a stand alone piece in my mind.

Well the outfit alone starts the appearance going down a dark path, but the come and get me pose doesn't fit well with Jabba. "Oooh, this hideous, vile slug, I can't stand him....ooh hey there Han Solo, wanna come save me now, prrrr...."
