About ten years ago my ex-girlfriend and I stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Newport Rhode Island. This B and B was in an old home that was from the 1800's. We noticed that there were really creepy looking pictures of a little girl all over the house. All were paintings.

We arrive at our room and notice that instead of one bed there are two small beds next to each other. We were so tired from the car trip that we each took a bed for the night. Nothing weird happened that night.

The next night we pushed the beds together to form one bed. One bed was about a foot and half higher than the other! But no big deal. After we did that things got really weird....I slept all night in one spot, which I never do, with my girlfriend hugging me all night. When I awoke, my girlfriend was on the higher bed with her back to me. She asked me why I pushed her violently during the night and then ran out of the room. I asked if she had at some point come over to the lower bed and hugged me, she said that she hadn't moved other then when "I" shook her. I informed her that I hadn't shaken her or gotten up.

We knew something wasn't right. That morning I went into the shower and put my towel on top of a little hamper. I decided to use the B and B's towels instead. I unlatched a little cabinet and pulled one out and it smelled horrible. I put it back in and latched the door. When I got out of the shower, my towel was thrown on the floor and the towel I had put back in the cabinet was on the hamper. The bathroom door was also locked from the inside, which I hadn't done.

Like mentioned before there was alot tension and anger between us when we were in the house and we were perfectly fine when we were out.

It was the summer and we would sleep with the windows open and It was always freezing in the room.
My girlfriend thought that maybe the ghost of the little girl was jealous that we put the beds together, after all she hugged me all night and shook my girlfriend. We decided to pull the beds apart and nothing strange happened in the room again.

The crazy part is that there was another couple staying there ,Bob and Sue. I met them downstairs and went back up and told my girlfriend about them. She went downstairs to meet them and they were gone. This happened all 4 days that we were there, I would talk to them, see them reading books, having coffee and my girlfriend didn't see them ONCE in 4 days. She thought I was pulling her leg.

I only saw the women who owned the Bed and Breakfast once, when I arrived and when I left. She was an old woman who was I guess in her late seventies.

When I lived in the Philippines our house was this old chinese mansion. About 2/3 of the house was chained off and locked so we couldn't get in. In our bedroom every once in a while we would hear kids playing in the locked part of the house. After one night we were bored so we decided to break in. When we got through the room just adjacent to ours was a kids room. There were toys strewn all over the place and the room was really musty. It was obvious by the dust on the floor that noone had been in here for a looooong time.

A few weeks later we heard kids in the next room playing again. So we broke into the neighboring room and this time the toys were in a circle on the bed facing each other. The dust was still all over the place. Undisturbed.

Very creepy. The next day we explored the rest of the house and I have never felt so much "yuck" in the air as I did then.

After I had my experience in the store I started talking to friends and found that some had had their own experiences.
My one buddy had moved into a house with his girlfriend and her two daughters. One morning one of the girls asked who was over last night. He assured her that no one was over and the other daughter asked who the two little kids were in the hall outside their door rolling the ball back in forth were.
My other friend Chalie was spending the night in the extra room in the attic of his girlfriends house. He awoke in the middle of the night to see an old woman rocking in the rocking chair across the room. As he was looking at her she stopped rocking and looked right at him.
When asked what he did, he responded "I did what any red blooded American chicken would do! I pulled the covers over my head and stayed there till morning.

Holy crap man... That is some freaky stuff. When things like this happen you can never really shake them and they stick with you forever. Really does make you think about death and the possibility of the afterlife. I don't care how crazy it makes me look, I totally believe. After all I have seen and been through, there is no way it was in my head or just paranoia. And don't care how silly I look at night with the covers over my head, it keeps me from seeing anything else that will further scar me for life. :lol

Great stories here, I want to hear more...:duff

Here is another one that involves my mom:

My older brother (whose office I work at now) was married about 6 months after my grandma died. Her death was very hard for my mother. My mother was struggling with questions about the afterlife. On the day my brother my brother was married she had this burning desire to know that my grandma was there. So while she was sitting waiting by the Bride's room when this little old lady walked up to her and said "I don't usually do this but I have a gift and I just felt like I should tell you that you are surrounded by your family members who have passed on and among them is your mother." Then this little old lady caught up with her party and my mom never saw her again.

Wow! That is spooky.

Before my family immigrated from Italy to the US they went to Argentina for several years. My grandmother had a tenant that supposedly could channel the dead. My grandmother didn't believe in that stuff.

After my grandmother's mother died, she had a hard time coping and had questions about the afterlife. She reluctantly approached her tenant who turned her away and said that it wasn't the right time. After a few weeks her tenant knocked on the door and said that the time had come. My grandmother , who is now 86, told me that this woman channeled her mother and spoke to her about this and that for about 20 minutes. She told my grandmother that she was in good place and not too worry. She also told her that my grandfather, who had been sick, would soon recover. I saw my grandmother last year and she was still freaked out by this.

What made my grandmother believe this was true?? Her tenant only spoke Spanish. That day she spoke Italian, actually in the Italian dialect from my grandmother's town in Italy!!

Hey Josh, I certainly don't blame you for the covers over your head. When it was my turn to face the thing I needed a girl to go with me, cause I wasn't going up there alone.
The day my son was born I looked out the hospital room window and on the roof of the adjacent wing two crows sat looking right at our window. The only two crows on the whole roof and they didn't move.
There was a Benny Hill episode where he called an old woman 'old crow' so we adopted it and used to tease my mom calling her the 'old crow' and my grandmom the 'great crow'.
