Saw this last night finally... and man, did this scare the poop out of me. One of the single worst films I've ever seen in recent memory.

No wonder the studio tried to turn all the hate back at the audience -- it's the only comeback they had. Nothing in the film could justify its existence.

I guess you shouldn't have answered the call.

Well, that's exactly what a racist, misogynistic, chauvinistic, cis , str8 pig would say!

Yeah. I saw it on Starz last night. I wouldn't've paid for it ... but, for free, my curiosity got the better of me. Just atrocious. No redeeming qualities whatsoever. The story was bad. The jokes were bad. The effects were cartoonish. Wrong director. Wrong actresses. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. And, the quirky lesbian engineer may have been the most annoying character in movie history ... save, maybe, Deadpool.

They would've been better off taking every instinct Paul Feig had ... and doing the opposite.

Wow i had no idea you hated women so much. Absolutelty Disgusting

Have the team behind this movie acknowledged the fact that the movie was just bad or are they still using the whole 'fans hate women' thing as the excuse. This movie bombed hard.

Feig went out with the same excuse.

IIRC his last words were: I had no ideas GB was such a boys club.

They never acknowledged being a bad movie. Ever.

It was always blaming the trolls or sexism. The director did say he felt bad about working on a project that had such a big fanbase, that he didnt understand how big the fan base was and that he regretted answering to the "trolls"

But even when he said that he praised the actresses and said he made a very funny movie that people didnt give a chance to.

So no, he still blames the fans for the hate even after all this time

Replace the women in this movie with male actors and keep everything else the same I imagine you would still be left with the same piece of crap.

Who knows, depends on the actors.

Even if they had better actresses it could have been a little better.
The biggest problem of the movie is the endless improv that happened on set. Some of the worst moments of the movie were improv that the director left in.

It would have been Seth Rogen and is usual unfunny trope. Would have performed better than the chick, but prolly not all that better of a movie. Exact same type of humor.

A good actor or actress would have done good improv though.

The plot itself was kinga genetic but a better comedian would have done better improv which is what this needed
