Are you going to offer you Ghostbusters head sculpts for sale here vartal? I think they're great! I hope to buy the Mattel 12" figures. So, I'm looking for better head sculpts, and yours look great to me! :D

Hey Vartal,

I definitely know a few people who would want a tick head-sculpt! Me definitely included!
maybe create a new thread for it? not sure how that stuff works.

Are you by chance just offering your bases? You've got some top notch work there as always!

The bases were offered for free for a limited number of GB sets. Now I would have to make new molds for them so they aren't for sale unless there is enough interest.

About the Tick it would be good to know a number of interested people, you know guys, I have to invest my time in the best way possible. :peace

Just a guess, but I doubt you would get enough interest with Tick to be worth your while.

He isn't a "hot," new character. He isn't a big enough cult hit to have a bunch of people clamoring for him (like you would see for Alex from A Clockwork Orange), he isn't a great action star. Plus, getting the right kind of body and suit for him would be far from easy, I would guess. I just don't see more than a small handful of people being willing to go for it, though you never know.

Yep mate, it's pretty hard for me to evaluate characters that I don't even know. I guess that I should focus on sculpting well known characters, it surely will lead to get better likeness.

Now a Humphrey Bogart head, or Peter Sellers from Dr. Strangelove, or Kurt Russell from the Thing. . .that might get you some real interest ;)

Sadly, you might get most interest of all doing Kate Beckinsale from the horrible Underworld movies:

Hey Vartal,

maybe put up a post on this site to see if anyone else would be interested in the tick headsculpt. I know that a lot of people at the onesixthwarrior.com site want one and have been asking around. so there definitely interest.

as far as body, its easy to use a billy body or a 13" dr manhattan body. not hard to find and im sure your sculpts would look great whoever it it you decide to sculpt! I know i would have to buy at least 3 for myself. but who knows, try and find out! Thanks for your time!

Let's see if Small Studios solves his problems with the post office. He has a Bill Murray there waiting for his art.

I'm very glad you like them 16k! :banana

I hope you make a great Ghostbusters customs! :)

well, painting them will be a real pleasure!

the trouble comes with the accessories. I will probably get the Mattel figs, but it will take months to assemble the whole team, notwithstanding the high price. So maybe I'll try making them if I can find accurate pictures...

Well, this was my first time with computer generated sculpts (or whatever you call it! :D). I was a bit wary but they are really good. The likeness is excellent. that's funny because the biggest difference between hand sculpts and this kind of sculpts is probably the eyes. I think that when we sculpt by hand, we have a tendancy to exagerate the size. Here, the size is right, and believe me, it's going to take a lot of precision to do that. I've checked with Spenser's sculpts and honnestly, the difference is not that big. Maybe the sculpt on Vartal's hs is a little softer (especially on the hair), but the price is softer too, so for me, and being not so far from Spain, Vartal was an easy choice I don't regret! :D

Now, I'll post them at 12", but as I said, I'm afraid it'll take a while before I can gather the equipment... :(

I've always thought that to make the Ghostbusters is a very ambitious project, especially with so many complex equipment but it's total fun and the result can be spectacular in a collection.

I agree with you 16k, the sculpts trends to be exagerated and not proportionally right, but at hand they might look better.

An example, it looks very well here but at hand all those tiny details can't be appreciated.
