Wow... just to convert it to 3D?
That's pretty lame...

Yeah, very lame. I mean we know this movie isn't gonna set the world on fire. My expectations are it would be like the first one pretty fun but nothing like I said to set the world on fire. However, just to add the 3D makes me concerned it might be really bad.

I haven't seen anything saying that but its always possible I suppose. I agree its pretty freaking lame and dumb.

This is stupid, really stupid. I was looking forward to this. Bad decision. It's only going to hurt them in the long run I imagine.

When a film suddenly gets moved from the middle of the summer to march, that is bad news. I bet this thing tanked with test audiences.

Watch them re-write and reshoot the movie so Channing Tatum's awful Duke doesn't get killed off anymore. And I'm not joking. It doesn't take 9 months to do a 3D conversion. And no studio will punt a major Summer film this close to its release. Also, think about all the licensed tie-ins that were ready to go (some toys even already hitting distribution). Something else is most definitely afoot here.

This movie is now squarely back on Disaster Watch.

What a joke.

We know the director disliked that aspect of RoC. So that would be extremely interesting. :monkey1

There's no way it's just a 3-D conversion that's causing this move. If that were the case they'd just shift it to later in the summer or delay it til next summer. A hyped summer action film doesn't suddenly get moved to ____ing March unless it's a total dogturd.

Yep. I'm betting on wholesale reshoots, probably for the worst.

And I can't help but think this has a lot to do with BATTLESHIP being dead in the water. Paramount/Hasbro couldn't deal with 2 huge box office disasters within a month.

Crap or not though, this would've easily pulled $50mil opening weekend. RoC was total ____ing garbage and that made over $300mil when all was said and done. With Johnson and Willis, this would've done that on name recognition alone. :lol

Which makes you wonder just how bad this thing must be if considering all of that, they still thought moving it to the wastelands of march was the better option.
