ok, they have like a year to make a better looking alien than neca did. if ssc can't beat the $40 figure, i will lol.

Is it possible they are referring to the AW maquette with this answer? Would they release two 1/4 scale aliens in the same year?

Suppose it doesn't really matter to me since I would only want one 1/4 alien in my collection anyways... (and I like the AW character design better so that's probably the one I'll get)
