IMO this is gonna be a great line to be a completist in. The way they all looked at comic-con and how they're coming out in production is making them winner after winner. Its gonna make for one hell of an impressive collection at the very least, and with news about The Hobbit collectibles sure to start in the near future I would venture to assume we're gonna have freaking awesome Middle-Earth collections.

I jumped on this line when the Ringwraith went on preorder. Legolas converted. Gimli converted. And recently so has Boromir. I also managed to pick up Aragorn Ex at retail price as well from a freak off here. Just missing Gandalf now...

I originally passed on the Gandalf maquette in favor of the PF, but after a year of watching this line grow and seeing a few group shots from Comic Con, I decided to change my focus and switched over to this line. Very happy with my decision!
The PF is damn nice. I wanna go back and get it myself at somepoint but I do think this is the LOTR line to collect. There is just something special IMO about when LOTR is done in statue form compared to another medium. Always glad to have more and more folks jump aboard.
Im debating with my self. I have the Gandalf PF and id love to track down the rest of the PF but been old they are all way out of my price range.
So Im trying to see if this line would work for me, but for the life of me I cant decide which one I should start of with. Im going back and forth between Aragorn, Legolas or Gimili.ughhh

having both Aragorn and Legolas, you won't be disappointed no matter who you choose to go with and Gimli certainly looks like he won't disappoint when he shows up on doorsteps very soon.

If you're at all interested in the exclusive, you should track down Aragorn first. You can't even get on the wait list for that one any more. Then I would go after Legolas, who has a smaller edition size.

I don't get any exclusives unfortunately. Becus of CA tax I hardly buy anything from SS directly. I do love the look of the EX Aragorn tho, without the hood looks sweet.
I was debating on the Ex Gimili, but getting it from SS adds around 40$ to that 250$. and for 300$ id rather get Gollum for that price.

So far I have all three displayed as exclusives. I was surprised to find that I prefer Legolas with the daggers, and I like unhooded Aragorn as well as Gandalf with upright staff.
I don't like paying sales tax when I buy exclusives direct from Sideshow, but it's worth it to get a piece that I'm happier with than if I'd gotten a better price on a regular.

oh I think the EX are def worth it, but Im trying to be more careful on what I spend my money on this year.
Yeah, get the Aragorn first as its becoming harder to find as far as the exclusives go. Then grab GTG and of course Legolas to complete the trio but if you go with regs you're not losing.

Thanks man. Told my girl that this is the Year of the Hobbit so I am giving up HT to hopefully afford all of this while tracking some older SS LOTR pieces.

Yeah, I can't wait for some Hobbit stuff to get announced and get items on order for that. It will also remind people just how cool the stuff Sideshow and Weta are doing right now plus the stuff they did together. I'm with ya Middle-Earth stuff comes before anything else.
