OK, looks like that's the last of the pictures. Thanks for letting me share!

If you're still waiting for yours, I hope you get your Gimli soon and enjoy him as much as I do!

Good lord, if my waitlist doesn't convert I think I will go crazy! :cuckoo: Great pics and a great statue! Thank you very much Tom!:goodpost:

I forget to mention that my wife really liked this one when she saw it on the shelf. She appreciated the dynamic pose--and the fact that it made the Gimli statue taller than Legolas, which seems exactly how the character would want it. There's a lot of detail to enjoy on this piece, and you will find yourself looking at it from all angles and appreciating the heck out of it.

This leaves me excited to get Arwen, and Arwen will in turn get me really anxious for Boromir.

Thanks so much for sharing Tom. :1-1:

Gimli is looking fantastic. :clap

Love your setup, this line really looks great together. :yess:

Very well done mate. :clap

Wow, that is an awesome piece - really hoping either my WL converts or I snag it another way. This could be the best one yet!!

Looks freaking superb Tom! Tim Miller and Sideshow did a great job. Your pics are very nice as well and thanks for sharing as I have to wait until Thursday to see mine.

Looks like I have to wait for this and Arwen until tomorrow. They're both here, they just didn't deliver for some reason.

SSW are more classically posed, no doubt but some of the human sculpts really don't hold a candle to what SS is producing now. In fairness I suspect all/most human sculpts have improved in ten years just due to competition among companies and the customer's wants and demands. I don't think the SSW aragorn pieces would sell at all if released today. Maybe I am wrong.

These pics do look killer. The closeup of the face, though, reminded me of the lengthy debate about the composure being shown in that sculpt. Honestly the dynamic nature of the body doesn't really fit that bored looking facial expression IMO. Now we don't need berserker Gimli but intense and concentrating Gimli would be more apt I think. Still looks great though.

I was just gonna say the same thing. Statue looks good, but why the agressive pose with a passive face??

That's the only thing that kills me about this piece. His pose say "RAWWWRRRRRR I'M GONNA KILL YOU ALL!!!!" but his face says "well... I could go for chicken nuggets, I guess, or maybe a hot pocket. I'll wait until I pick the kids up from Gandalf's before I make up my mind."
