Oh yeah. I've seen the screen grabs of that as well. Another shame.

Fingers crossed a lot of people will hear about this before buying and maybe they will do a reissue... mmm... maybe not! :sick

Well that sucks. Other than Lord of the Rings, this is one of the top if not the top BluRay release I was looking forward to. :monkey2

This still hasn't come out in the UK and it will be released by Universal and not Paramount. So, I've sent an email to Universal trying to find out if they used the same transfer and if so, then to expect a lot of complaints and bad sales figures. I sent some links to some screen grabs to show how bad it was.

Fingers crossed the Universal version will be better but I've got a feeling it will just be the same.

Maybe a few emails to Universal and Paramount might show them that we're not going to accept this sort of transfer.

I really dont understand how they even let these ^^^^ty scans make it out the door when the biggest "Wow" factor associated with BR's are the image quality....

This sucks BIG TIME! How the hell do they keep making these mistakes? First Terminator 1 and now this. Stupid. I feel sorry for the ones that end up buying it not knowing better.

i hear ya Roy. the first terminator's tranfer was crap and should be redone.

The thing is, it might be that they should have done it better.... but it's stilll going to look amazing and better than most of us have ever seen the film. I'll still be getting it :)

So wait a minute. Looking through those screens, other than the missing arrow pieces what is wrong? Going back and forth between the DVD and Bluray screens it looks a lot better to me. Much more detailed.

I was planning on a double-feature that day too, Gladiator and Braveheart come out at the same time; maybe not now? :dunno :huh

I am kind of wondering other than the arrows what the major issues are though.

Also, on the plus side, they are making a new version of Terminator 1. I read it on thedigitalbits a while back. It won't be out this year, but they are working on a new transfer.

I mentioned this in the Blu thread. It is bad.

The edge enhancement is bad. The colors look off in some scenes.

I have seen an over the air HD broadcast vs this Blu and the difference is even apparent there.

This is really sad.

One of the most anticipated and now disappointing releases.

I am praying the domestic release will be different but I think it may not be.

This is good news. I hope they can clean up the transfer.

We are discussing this on the BD forum. I really would not rely on these screencaps. I'll wait to see the movie myself before passing judgment.
