I have to agree. GOW 3 was great but there really wasn't anywhere to take the series after that. I applaud them trying something new, seems Sony is they only ones letting their studios do that these days.

GoW 4 is kinda soft reboot. They changed setting to Nordic and changed gameplay mechanic at same time.

RE7 turned out good, changing direction is not bad thing. Also clearly Dark Soul influence there.

Well the reviews are dropping. I am very pleased to see that it is scoring so well. Game of the year contender for sure! I can't wait to pick this up next week.

The Witcher 3 was scoring well at release, and it still is.

Some think its crap though.

This doesn't look like it, only the crybabies claiming it doesn't feel like GOW are complaining.

The old GOW formula was getting stale, this looks amazing. Glad I'm getting this on day one, and amazon's prime PO price makes it all the better.

The point is that no one should give a **** for "journalistic" reviews at release.

But IMO, Sony has been releasing good titles lately, no reason to believe this one won’t be good. And simply based on what I’ve seen (don’t care about meta critic) it looks ace. Different enough.

Honestly most games that score a 10 on those sites I end up disagreeing with. MGSV, Uncharted 3, GTAV and so forth. Witcher 3 is probably the only 10/10 I can agree with.

Damn I wish this came out THIS Friday, I'm on vacation all next week and could have really sunk some quality time into this while the wife was at work....not so much next weekend when she's not. What is it with women anyways, cant they understand that a 6-8 hour gaming session is actually several hours short of what it COULD and SHOULD be?!?!?!
