they're not remaking the game ala Resident Evil. they're just upconverting to 720. and i can't see this being enough to get many of the current owners to buy again.

Yeah, the Blu-Ray versions that were rumored to come packaged with the God of War III Ultimate Exclusive Limited Collector's edition would have been great. Unless this collection is under $20, no go.

Yes, for people who have not played the games yet, but I've been through both adventures multiple times. The graphics aren't even redone, they're just refined for the HD generation. In the end, they'll look like spruced up Wii games, maybe.

How about some unlockables? New content? New challenges?

I can understand that this is targeted to PS3 owners who've never played GoW, but I think it's a huge oversight not to throw in content that will entice the MILLIONS of veteran GoW fans. It's not enough for me, and in the packed holiday gaming season, I'll be spending my money elsewhere.

i got to play god of war 3 this past weekend at the fan expo convention and i have to say i was quite impressed! i haven't played any of the god of war games but i might consider playing part 3..looks really good

I find it funny that Sony deemed it necessary to have the God of War title and logo display 4 times on the cover. 4 times.

I find it funny they feel the need to release this at all. If your worth anything as a gamer, you already bought both back when the PS2 was the hottest ticket around.

I have both games and have played them both several times. I have a backwards compatible PS3 that I play them on. No need for me to pick these up again....they are fun games but I don't need to buy them again for a little bit better graphics.

I agree. The only reason I'd consider getting this is because I sold both GOW1 and 2 awhile back.

I agree with everyone here. I own them, have had both since their releases dates. MY Ps3 is BC, so if I wanted to play them I would pop them in. And I hope this rereleasing of old PS2 classics on discs with trophy support and 720p isn't the norm as someone mentioned. Why not just make them downloadable from the store if they are going to do this?

Discs are dead. Focus on giving me new games, not ones that have been played out.
