This news completely sucks. I don't see why it would be so hard to produce as a pf. At least make a 1:4 scale maquette.

Not a PF anymore

the kratos figure has been a difficult piece to develop, and the release date is very much to be determined. We have determined that the figure will be a fully sculpted maquette in approximately 1:5 scale, and are working now to complete the prototype for licensor approval. If that all goes well, we may be able to offer a pre-order opportunity in early 2010.

Wow, epic fail on Sideshows part. Way to give up...

They should have given the project to Jerry Macaluso. I was really looking forward to this statue too. The worst part is that since Sideshow has the license and they are not capable of make a PF, that means we will probably never see one.

No kidding. How about waiting until you see it before you complain about it. If it does turn out to be around 14" tall then 1/5 scale is ok with me. It shoud cost less and won't take up as much room.

Seeing all the PF's SS has done I find it hard to believe they couldn't make a Kratos in PF form......WEAK SAUCE SS!

I think I may have to pass on this thing, now. My collection is pretty much all PFs, so a 1:5 scale maquette on display next to all those 1:4 scale statues will look...odd.
