Thanks. Yeah, The new Godmarz in the Soul of Chogokin line is probably my favorite so far of the re-releases by bandai. It is really nice. You can still pick him up on ebay for around $265 I think.
Yeah, they've got one right now to purchase for $240, 27 days left.
But is this SOC Godmarz also die-cast?

They've got the original one too, the one that you and I have, and bidding is currently at $203 with 3 days left.
Depending on how well this one does, I might decide to sell mine.

SOC Godmarz is a hefty beast of diecast awesomness!!! Those who care for Godmarz should be happy that the next SOC big boy will be Godsigma. Great collection, the SOC line is pretty much updated almost all of those guys. Daltanious should be hitting anytime now if hes not already out.

Voltes V is more popular in the Philippines than anything, they pretty much go ape____ for him.

I'm actually getting back into collecting them, but man,Vintage Chogokin ain't cheap.

At one point, I've had EVERY Godaikin I ever wanted (Tetsujin 28, Combattra, Voltes, Daimos, etc) but sold off most of them when I got my new house. I managed to keep my Volt in Box Voltes set, Cross in Box Goggle V set and two Daidenjins (all brand new). But lately, I've been buying back alot of the Godaikins, Chogokin, Soul of Chogokin and Shogun Warriors I had a few years back (and selling alot of my "older" Hot Toys to fund them). They're just so damn cool.:yess:

yeah, they're pretty awesome and they were ahead of their time as far as toy engineering goes. How these guys transform and combine blows transformers out of the water. Guardian was and still is one of my favorites. It was the one robot that got me hooked on the Godaikin line.

I wish they showed it in the states, as I never saw the cartoon growing up as a kid. I wish I did though. It sort of reminds me of Voltron(GoLion) and how he would always slice up Robeasts. Great clip. Thanks for sharing!

YES! Did you see my previous post regarding this? When I visited many years ago, Voltes V was everywhere. It was THE cartoon/anime to watch. I may have had a t-shirt of him when I was a kid. :lol
In Singapore and Malaysia it's the same story...Voltes V everywhere.

The first time I saw Voltes V was in the late 80's/early 90's although it was first shown in the Philippines in the late 70's. This was banned by Marcos because it apparently "had a negative effect on children due to its violent content."

...yeah, says the guy who imprisoned/murdered/did things god only knows what to his political opponents and basically put the whole country under martial law for almost a decade!:monkey4

If I remember correctly I had the Voltes V movie on vhs when I was a kid. It was released here in the states. I had a ton of the old cartoons from Jim Terrys Force Five. Voltes V wasnt part of Force Five but it had the same animation style. To me Voltes reminded me more of Vehicle Voltron and Combattra more than Lion Voltron.

Totally agree. I was watching some of that video clip and there was a quick portion where it showed Voltes V slicing his sword through his enemy right down the middle just like how Lion voltron use to slice through the robeast right down the middle. But yeah, the Voltes V robot seems more similiar to vehicle voltron then the lion voltron in looks.

Yeah, i get what your saying. I should have been more clear and what I meant was looks as you stated. In looks he reminds me of Dairugger/Vehicle Voltron.

Yeah those are awesome. Lucky to have such awesome bots. Alot of people dont really care for the old classics

Yeah, it's a generation thing. These robots were so ahead of their time. Now a days, they look like kids toys because of their bright colors. I still love all these guys. I think the only people that can relate to these robots are people that grew up during the 80s who either saw the cartoons, or appreciated back when robot toys were made of real die cast metal.
