Man that sucks hot ***. Defiantly getting neca and the jakks. This better not be the best looking bandai.

I feel like Bandai exaggerated how he uses his breath to design a way to do it in a toy that's fairly faithful to the movie but allows for the feature to not impact the overall figure looking like the movie.

What's sad is this is their collector level detailing figure, how cheap will the others look? I'm more glad than ever for NECA, if this were the best I could get, I'd be sad, it's better than anything form G98, but still, $20 toy tops, not worth $35

Based on their marketing, this is collector level detailing. I knew Bandai USA couldn't be counted on, maybe Bandai Japan'll do a nice vinyl.

.. they painted in the teeth, rather than sculpting them!?.. on a 'collectable' figure design that has booked the Presidential suite at Hotel Fugly (movie accurate or not).. Bandai certainly appear intent on filling TRU's bargain bins.

i can't wait to see Sideshows Reveal

That's what I'm waiting on. Bandai America has always put out sub-par stuff (as far as an adult collector goes / compared to Bandai Japan) - NECA, well let's just say that their figure is probably going to come with an unintentional 'Battle Damage' feature :lol - SH MonsterArts might be where it's at for a smaller scale depending on how they break up the articulation. Really though, since I'm not the kind of person who routinely re-poses their figures all the time, one solid well-sculpted piece could do it for me. We'll just see if Sideshow can deliver, I guess.

And there's always X-Plus... :clap

Even a nice vinyl from Bandai Japan'll have that, it's almost a trademark for Bandai, they emboss teeth against a solid strip and paint them. It's sad cuz a lot of their vinyls could be all the better with actual teeth.

Hey, did anyone ever make some of the giant pray-mantis from Son of Godzilla?
I've seen the really chessy small ones in bags on ebay every now and then.
I know the spider was made, but I don't recall ever seeing a good (Kamakiras) mantis.

Nevermind, I just found on the Toho Kingdom forum a list of stuff that is planned to
be released in the next few years...and yes, this guys is one of them....finally.

I guess the pictures are maybe the proto-types.

WOW, I was just looking at the other x-plus Toho Godzilla figures...very pricey.
I really like this one.

But $499-800 price range for a 9 to 10 inch figure...Don't get me wrong, a great likeness of the
1964, but...for something that can't be moved...ouch.

And that most likely means the Kamakiras are going to be pricey as well and have no articuation.

Are all the x-plus Toho figure more of a statue? Seems strange being made of PVC. You would think
with such good looking figures, they might want to make them have some articulation. :dunno

That's the 25cm 1964 Godzilla Ric Boy edition with the two Mothra larvae. The aftermarket price varies greatly. When it first came out it was about $125-$140 I think. You need to get these X Plus figures early to get the best price. The 30cm 1964 Godzilla is also amazing. There are many versions of it (open and close mouth, reissue with closed mouth and light up dorsal plates) and it's being reissued again by Diamond USA (open mouth).

Some X Plus figures do have articulation (not intended, just how it was put together) like the Gigan figures, Kiryu, and MechaGodzilla.

Here's my X-Plus Collection so far. (Ultraman figures aren't on these shelves yet.)

Bandai, I'm VERY disappointed!!! I sure hope NECA and X-Plus makes everything forget about whatever this is! :monkey4

If NECA have got any sense, they will ignore 'screen accuracy' on this figure, produce something that accidentally looks a whole lot like a 'proper' Godzilla (X-Plus 2001).. then stick it in a box with marketing for the new film.. and make bank!

I guess the power of Godzilla dictates the after market. Deep down inside I believe its ******* with disposable income
