Yeah, but we've also never posted about Bandai USA toys in this thread until the new movie, otherwise that wouldn't be true

Hopefully that's not the final form. And the end baddie is a bit more intriguing looking.

Couldn't they just have gone with a mix of Hedorah and Gidorah with Scarface's personality.

Man, Neca needs to get an image of their figure out soon to quell all of this negativity. Not to mention Bandai Japan needs to "leek" images of their Monster-Arts 2014 Godzilla. Will Neca be making figures of the Mutos?

NECA's hinted at doing mutos, but because details about the mutos have been hush hush, Randy couldn't really say much. I think too, they want to wait to see how fans take to them. Granted our first looks is a cheap toy, but still, the reaction so far is very mixed.

I think they will look awesome in the movie. Gyos meets Cloverfield is not a bad thing. Just judging by the little detail we can see, this doesn't look to be that insect like, it really doesn't look like it has a bug head, it actually looks kind of alien.

I just threw up in my mouth after seeing these Bandai USA pics! Hilarious. I always saw these Bandai USA Godzilla vinyls at Toys R Us and just walked by them every damn time. They were hideous and overpriced. Now we have these things from the new movie and its the same deal. No one will buy them. Then 10 years from now they'll be selling for a fortune. Too funny. The MUTOs are definitely different for a Godzilla movie. Cloverfield with a lot of Alien thrown in.

I feel like, unless you go to NECA level accuracy, it's hard for this Godzilla not to look like a cheap toy when you're being more simple. His spines and skin are the same color, there's just a slight difference to his front, so there's little room for any paint work to set it out, the textures are pretty simple. He's just doomed to look cheap, though Bandai using gimmicks which exaggerate proportions makes it worse. The JAKKS figure looks less toy-like in comparison to Bandai.

I'm not so sure about NECA's either. Not after looking at their '94 Godzilla.

it's decent for the price it will be but detail-wise, SHMA will be the one to go. Unless NECA's 12inch final product is way better. But I've learned never to get too excited with their prototypes.

I'd take this godzilla over what we had before. Sad that jakks did a better job capturing godzilla better than these horrid bandai figures. Seriously these are just awful.

it's decent for the price it will be but detail-wise, SHMA will be the one to go. Unless NECA's 12inch final product is way better. But I've learned never to get too excited with their prototypes.

SHMA will definitely blow NECA's 6 out of the water, NECA's "cheaping out" with a bendable tail on the 6", the 12" should be more articulated like SHMA.

I'm impressed with the '94's articulation considering it's almost 1/4 the cost of SHMA, it's really well done but for that one joint at the head, but I feel like Godzilla 2014's design should make adding that articulation easier. I do think the 12" will look superious to the 6".

Yeah, I'm very optimistic about it. But I'm keeping my expectations low just so I'm not hugely disappointed.

NECA's 6inch really ins't awful. If I didn't have SHMA I'd be more thrilled. The detail in that one really just makes me notice why it's cheaper. But for collectors that rather get the better deal, NECA's a much better alternative than....^that.
