Yeah it's a bit frustrating that each of them are not quite the same size. But...i still do admire how it looks some angles more than others

No he's not he's smaller than both. Significantly. The BG next to him is 25cm tall that's not the gigantic.

At 1st glace I thought that was the GBG next to him and I gasped, but the tail position is what gave it away that it wasn't the GBG, then I has a sad.

That would be insane...and expensive lol I can't wait to see Toho's new Goji. I have a feeling I'll like him more than Legendary. And the figures of him will rock.

Can't come fast enough.

I just hope they don't fully cgi him because they just can't get away with that. :lol

Imagine that, a new suit actor will be joining the existing gang, how awesome.

Wow, no way, really!

All of him!

Yikes, couldn't they just try his feet first and let us decide. :lol

Their cgi Zilla was really really bad, but it has been 11 years since then.

But going by their recent Gatchaman and Battleship Yamato movies, they really haven't advanced much in that field.

I'm not fully certain but they have mentioned that they felt confident they were ready for a cgi Godzilla lol it'll be interesting. Hope Toho steps up.

New piece of artwork:

PLANET X AIN'T ALL BAD

I used the '91 KG DST bank as reference, even though it's not accurate to MONSTER ZERO. It's my favorite look, so artistic license took over, along with the saucer design. Hope you like it.

MONSTER ZERO drinking game - take a hit every time someone says, "Glenn."

I don't even care how the movie turns out if the suit looks great. There are Godzilla suits I like and would happily own that I could care less for the movie(s) it's from, like GMK. I can't wait to finally see what he looks like.

Granted, I still don't think Toho could do that nice of CGI work, but their Zilla in Final Wars was meant to be a complete *** at that creature and I'm pretty sure was intentionally made with really bad CGI to almost make a statement like, their CGI monster can't hold up to our suit Godzilla. Very effective, and even if they didn't try to make it bad, I'm sure they didn't try hard to make it good either.

Gmk huh? Not the one I expected you to mention. Every other millennium film fits that "could care less" label for me, gmk is the one that really feels like a worthy sequel lol.

But I know what you mean. I've felt that way about the 91 suit. My favorite suit but I wish it was used in a better movie. And I feel the sane about Space Godzilla..I love him I just hate his movie

I just can't enjoy the guardian monsters plot, and Ghidorah as an ally and not enemy. For me every Millennium movie has highlights but I don't really enjoy a single movie completely outside of Godzilla 2000.

I think GMK is my most favorite design out of that series though, 2002/3 are nice as is 2004 but I'm ok without collectibles of them, I'd lole a nice GMK if it has the hunchback removed lol.

It's just the biggest contrast for me, with no other film is there such a contrast of feeling for movie vs suit.

Godzilla 2000 was decent, it was just so nice to have the real Gojira back after 1998. So that's cool. The middle got very slow but I loved the ending.

GxM felt like such a filler film. But it had it's moments. I loved Godzilla fighting the swarm.

GMK had a really interesting backstory. I loved the atmosphere and the tone. I loved this evil incarnation of Godzilla and how badass he was treated. The music is my favorite non-i***ube score. The final act drags though. The Godzilla/Ghidorah fight was underwhelming. Hated how he "died" but loved the heartbeat and the oldschool credits theme.

Godzilla x MG/Tokyo SOS. I didn't like how Godzilla seemed so dumbed down after GMK'S portrayal. He looked emotionless throughout the movie. Didn't like the music at all...no charm whatsoever. Kiryu and Mothra were the only positives.

Final Wars. I liked how Godzilla was treated in this tribute film. Felt like a new age Showa film. Just not in a good way. Thought Godzilla got kingly treatment but the movie lacked everywhere else. That NYC scene with the pimp still makes me cringe. Are they that clueless to what NYC even looks like post-1987?

What I liked about Godzilla 2000 and essentially got lost in the rest of the millennium series was the balance of every day people and military. From GxM on it just got so focused on the military side of things and there was this huge focus on promoting the strength of women in the military, which I don't have a problem with in concept, just the execution felt cheap and almost forced and just didn't work. My other problem with the millennium series was a continuation of a problem that I felt plagued the later part of the Heisie era which is drawn out military strategies. Heisei fights almost felt like a Power Rangers episode with these drawn out processes for sending Mechagodzilla or Moguera into battle, but then Millennium just took that and dragged it out even worse with dimension tide and whatever Kiryu's weapon was and just the launch sequence for Kiryu.

The millennium series is full of some pretty solid character designs, Kiryu is my 2nd favorite Mechagodzilla, but the films they're used in just don't hold my attention well from start to finish.

Great points and after reading your posts I realize that I don't like any if those things either lol they all got old quick.

I'm a bit surprised that it didn't bother you in 2014. Although it was different this go around, I think for an origin film, I much rather see a regular citizen going through this horrific new encounter.

Despite the military being the main character so to speak in 2014, it didn't feel like it overly focused on military stuff, like the Millinnium films had random scenes of people running drills on base and stuff to the point where it felt like using Godzilla to promote joining the military. In 2014, the military's actions on screen were only what was necessary and fitting to deal with the situation just like in the Showa era. Military has it's place in Godzilla movies, it's just how it's used, Millennium just felt like they were shoving it in my face and I wanted them to back off.

Perfect comparison of 2014 to Millennium era, in a millennium film, it'll take like 5-10 minutes to prep their big weapon and it fires off without a hitch, in 2014, they arm the nuke for their big move against the monsters and the male MUTO instantly dives and steals it, that's realistic as to what would happen in a fight with giant monsters, they're not going to just stand around giving you time for some big elaborate process :lol
